Best snow movies.

My holiday season has been completely green. To fill this empty void of no snow, what are the best snow movies? I'll start with the obvious and say "Fargo".

Favorite films of mine with good doses of snow:

The Thing (1982)
Lady Snowblood (1973)
The Survivors (1983)
The Great Silence (1968)

reply

The Shining
Also try the excellent Swedish film Force Majeure (2014) .
It’s about an avalanche at a French ski resort

Robin Williams and Walter Matthau in the same movie? I've never heard of it before.

reply

It’s my all time favorite Robin Williams movie and Jerry Reed is in it also. If you decide to check it out please get back to me and tell me what you thought because it’s one of those movies that no one seems to have ever seen.

reply

I haven't seen it but with Anthony Hopkins and David Mamet writing it, how bad can it be?

reply

Død snø (2009)
Snowpiercer (2013)
The Thing (1982)
Alive (1993)

Dead Snow 2 is much better than the first one.

reply

I only saw part 2.

reply

I liked the first one better as I just liked the atmosphere better. The second one was good, and I can see it being better, but I just liked the first one more.

reply

snowpiercer was awesome, i have only seen it once. i have been waiting, biding my time to watch it a second. trying to forget plot points.
