We all heard lists of sequels that are better than the original movies, but what are examples of third movies being better than the second (or the first) movie?

Can't think of any, but Seed of Chucky was my favourite in the Child's Play series and I think that was the fourth or fifth installment. I liked that they totally dropped the pretense of it being in any way scary and just made it a balls-to-the-wall comedy. It cracks me up.

I don't like horrors so I've never seen any Chucky movie. I'll just take your word for it.

I think that Thor Ragnarok is definitely better than the first two Thor films.

I just watched the ending again. I love how the bad guys and the citizens both cheer like they scored a touchdown when they Shoot someone. Why the heck does that one guy insist on using that pipe gun?? Bronson gets a belt fed .30 cal and this dude chooses a home made single shot pipe gun??

I just looked at the Death Wish 3 topic in this forum and it has never had a post? There is no way that’s correct. I suspect some kind of foul play here like a cover up to discredit this masterpiece!

Agree with you on Return of the Living Dead, but I just can't love Season of the Witch. I think it's the song. That I just started to think about. Which is now stuck in my head. Ugh.
