shareAlbums are to be looked at as well as listened to.
shareI would love to find a player with an automatic record changer. Damn! I miss playing my 45’s. There’s something about the crackling and hiss coming from that needle hitting the grooves.
“ Of all the music formats, vinyl has the most value.”

I was in a vinyl store recently and I heard one hipster ask another how to play a 45 with that big hole in the middle.
shareSay what? You’ve got to be kidding!😱 BTW, I’m far from being a hipster! I’m from the ‘50’s *before* the weed smoking hippie and make love not war generation. I despise that damn peace symbol. ☮️
shareI don't get it. We were happy when they disappeared back in the 1970s.
shareI always purchased vinyl until the late 80s when CDs really took off. I always thought the fidelity on vinyl was better than cassette (but below reel to reel). I would just record from the vinyl to cassette when I wanted something more portable. The format I don’t miss is 8 track with the clanking noise everytime it changed tracks. I was surprised how popular it was in the late 70s even though the cassette format already existed.
shareIt's fun to collect old records for the music, the cover art and liner notes
Vinyl is no doubt less practical than digital but there was something about holding that album in your hand that has been lost.
shareThere is a vinyl record store in my city. I still have two vinyl records that I won't part with of Al Green hits.
shareI had the bright idea about ten years ago to go back to vinyl. I regret it because the boxes are so heavy.
