My cousin says that "Se7en" is a horror movie and it's not even debatable. I say it's not a horror movie.

horrors can have thrilling aspects to them. i see hitchcock's movies as thrillers.

Psycho is classified as horror but it's not. It's a slasher film.

Nah. I'd say crime thriller is more accurate. It's along the same lines as Silence of the Lambs, so I can see where your cousin is coming from, but it lacks the true note of horror that SotL possesses.

Thriller is THE genre.
Crime,Mytsery,Horror,Drama and Neo Noir are pod genres.
