do you resent your parents

I feel I should ask why.... there seems to be a story there.

For me, no, I love them both dearly and miss my father every day.

My parents passed away years ago. We very much had an up-and-down relationship. but became quite close during their last years. Yes, I have things I could be (and have been) resentful about. But I am anchored by the belief that part of being an adult is being responsible for one's self, regardless of the way one was raised.

I don't resent them. But as someone who truly knows the kinds of people they are, I dislike them.
