Is Popeye's Chicken starting to get trendy right now?
I'm just curious. Part of the reason I eat at that place is to avoid the hipster yuppie crowd....

shareWell, it recently set somewhat of a trend with long waiting lines and selling out in restaurants across the country when it launched its new fried chicken sandwich. It was enthusiastically received and declared to meet or exceed the hype preceding it.
I watched a live taste test of it on a morning tv program the other day. I was impressed and definitely want to try one.
Well, I guess that's (sorta) good to hear they have a successful product. Them long lines though....
shareSo, you eat there regularly and were unaware of that new product? The long lines are bound to taper off as that initial frenzy recedes into the background.
shareI haven't eaten there in a week or so. I change it up often - lots of variety in my town. I'll probably go to Popeye's this week, though (but just for some good ol' spicy chicken-on-the-bone.)
shareThey are expanding here in Canada quite aggressively.
shareI always got the shrimp po'boy and red beans and rice lately, but the po'boy was discontinued.
shareI've been going to Popeyes for years. I like their spicy chicken, biscuits and dirty rice. Their chicken strips are pretty good too.
shareNot around here
shareKeyword, "right now". I'm sure this chicken craze will blow over as soon as the next one starts.

Expensive and slow but worth it for the right order. I eat there 1 or 2 times a year.
Pretty informative ratings! My personal favorites are the Chicken and Dirty Rice.
