I thought of a German movie made around 2004, called "The Edukators", pretty cool movie.

"American Pop" (1981)

Of the various films mentioned in the posts prior to this one, I own three of them on DVD/Blu-ray.
They are ...
St. Vincent
Crossing Delancey
October Sky

I shall now add six more films that I own which I feel fits this thread ...
An Unfinished Life
People Like Us
Chef
The Cake Eaters
A Good Year
The Dish

reply

The Dish is that Australian film with Sam Neill about the moon landing. If it is then yeah that's a fantastic film.

A Good Year with Russell Crowe is really underrated. A bit like The Dish, it's got a easy going feel to it and it's probably Ridley Scott most down to earth film, don't quite buy Crowe as a every day guy (Hugh Jackman or Ewan McGregor probably would have been better for this role) just cause Crowe just screams the type of man to shag the women, drink himself into a stupor and kick someones ass lol. Although I think this is Marion Cotillard's best non French speaking roles to date.

Chef is great fun as well.
