I was tempted to just say all of Fellini and Bergman. It would have been easier. And yes, I think a lot of snobby elites only pretend to like Bergman. I remember watching "Cries and Whispers" at a cinema. The audience and I were laughing at it. It employed a ticking clock to mean something, but it just kept doing it over and over again, and it became boring very quickly.

Most of those celebrated Italian directors from the past seem to have been decadent perverts and horrible excuses for a human being. I'm not even sure Fellini was the worst of the bunch.
