Mine hails from the days when I was a fan of "American Girls." It's a book and doll company that encouraged girls to learn about American history, as well as learning about friendship and growing up. I was 26 when I made the username.
shareMine is very loosely based on D.B.Cooper because I had a documentary on the tv about him when I signed up here. Since then, I've had a few wtf moments when I forgot that I had CSI on in the background which contains a character known as D.B. Russell and someone says something like, "Hey, D.B...." The people that know me here just refer to me as db, which I'm very comfortable with.
shareI figured it had something to do with D.B. Cooper. That's a fascinating story. I love history, especially crime history. Crime history mysteries are a delight.
shareI once binge watched a program titled Mafia Hits on The History Channel which chronicled the inception and evolution of the mob. It was fascinating stuff.
shareMine's a homage to Vera Lynn singing at the end of Dr Strangelove
shareOh yeah, that's great. Kubrick is like a god to me so anything from his movies tickles me. This thread is really interesting to me. The different ways people come up with their names, or random letter gram or whatever, it all speaks to the personality of the user. Very interesting.
shareYes, but it wasn't my first choice.. I would have picked "MortSahlFan", but many more seem to know Bill Hicks, and its a way to let others know about your taste without posting a thing.
