Best or Accurate Political Movies ever?

Doesn't matter what the leaning is... It can be a favorite, or one you think that is accurate, you can describe your decision-making.

It's been a while, but I remember "The Edukators" being a great political film.

-Network

-The Godfather (more abstract) than There Will Be Blood

Mr. Smith Goes To Washington

-A Face in the Crowd

I'll think of more later...

Meet John Doe

It's another one from Frank Capra similar to A Face in the Crowd, but less pro-war, less Jewish, and more populist. A Face in the Crowd has a lot going for it, but it's too partisan with too many cheap shots like the "isolationist" comment. Meet John Doe reveals the same truth as being universal rather than one sided.

I've always liked "Primary Colors". Thought it was a good satire of how the political game is played.

The Godfather as a political movie? I don't get that pick. I get that there are political situations in the film with discussions of politicians and senators being bought, but in my opinion I really wouldn't consider The Godfather a political film.

Missing (1982)

In 1973, U.S. businessman Ed Horman (Jack Lemmon) arrives in Chile to look for his son, Charles (John Shea), a politically left-leaning journalist who disappeared during a military coup. Charles' wife, Beth (Sissy Spacek), has been looking for some time, but her requests for help from the U.S. consulate have thus far produced few results. As Ed and Beth try to figure out what really happened to Charles, Ed realizes that the American officials may know more than they're telling.
