Your paranormal experiences

You ever had something "weird" happening to you? I was tripped by some unseen entity once when i was out for a walk. This was on a flat, concrete road so there wasn't anything sticking out of the ground. I checked the spot rigorously due to being so surprised. It was like i had bumped my foot on thin air. So my only conclusion is it was either a ghost or a living person that was invisible. It definitely wasn't something normal.

When I was in high school I was listening to music in the dark with head phones. The album was The Gilded Palace of Sin by the Flying Burrito Brothers. It's not religious music but they snuck a spiritual in as the last song on the first side, "Further Along." I didn't think about the content and was "performing" along silently when I hit a verse I thought went blah blah "said our loving bastard." Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder in my pitch black room, and the phrase "our loving Master" came into my mind. My heart leapt in start, then I slowly took my 'phones off and went into our well lit living room to watch TV for a while. Freaked me out !

reply

Would've pissed myself.

reply

Yes indeed! When a close friend died who was a classical pianist, I was watching TV the night that I learned he died and all of a sudden I started hearing him play the piano on the TV station and when I changed stations I heard the same thing. It totally freaked me out and I think I drank a couple of beers of wine to calm me down.

reply

I think he wanted to say goodbye properly since you weren't there when he passed.

reply

You might have a point! Thank you.

reply

You're welcome. I can understand it was spooky at the time but i feel you were blessed to get to hear from him a final time. Most don't get that chance.

reply

I never though of it that way, but now I can feel relief that I wasn't nuts!

reply

Don't worry, you're very sane :-)

reply

Did you know that there's a Paranormal thread here? I just saw it when I was looking at the selection, then one second later I see this post in General. LOL. That's my paranormal experience for the day.

reply

I had no idea XD

reply

I've had several, actually.

- Back in 2004, a really bad storm came to my town, with an F4 twister and everything, though that hit a town to the west. My brother and I went to the basement when the lights began to flicker and the neighbor's lawn furniture went airborne. We looked up through the window well of the basement to see the storm, and we saw the clouds were rotating (often a sign that a twister might form). We both were really scared, especially after hearing about the tornado hitting the nearby town, so we held hands and prayed really hard that we wouldn't get hit. We then looked up and saw the clouds stop rotating.

- When I was 12, I heard someone in my head says "Hey, _____!" (calling me by name) but I looked around and saw no one.

- I once dreamed about my guardian angel, and when I woke up, I heard this really weird sound in my head, like the throbbing of a spaceship engine.

- I've also seen things before they happened, but did not realize it at the time, and I've picked up on people's thoughts without knowing it until they told me.

- I get along really well with children and animals, and they seem drawn to me.

I felt the presence of the holy spirit in a church once.
The worst thing that happened to me has been sleeping in an unfamiliar place and having nightmares of evil beings.
I´ve been lucky that my experiences have been mundane compared to people I know though.

reply

What sort of evil beings?

reply

Just keep in mind that everything you see in your dreams, even the bad ones, is symbolic. I doubt the evil beings were actual demons in your dream. They probably represented something you feared or loathed in your life.

reply

Namely demons and monstrous looking things. I took it to mean something bad had happened in the hostel I was staying in, as I was travelling. I never experienced anything like that ever in my life before or after.

reply

Sounds lke you could be a medium.

reply

If I am, I'm not the type to talk to the dead.

reply

I was walking my dog one night and every streetlight on the road we were on went out...except for the one we were standing under.

reply

What would have been even creepier is if the lights kept switching around so the one you were under always was the one being lit.

reply

I have shared this before on MC
Strange lighted objects were hovering over a nearby lake, it freaked me out to say the least

I have no reason to lie about this, wont gain a penny by tricking you guys and frankly I feel stupid mentionining it

Two 'boomerang' looking craft hovered and darted over a nearby body of water...then they just disappeared like they sped off elsewhere
I was not high or drunk and hundreds of others witnessed the same thing
Go through the newspaper archives

Google Hudson Valley UFO sightings

I am aware of how stupid and trollish this sounds
I'm being honest
Bit of a freaky moment tbh...not a joke
Gave me chills

[deleted]

Hundreds of witnesses including lots of trustworthy people (cops, nurses, school teachers...) who didn't want to appear crazy came foward and admitted to seeing the same things that I did
I don't believe in weird stuff but I know I saw something that made no sense
They were there one minute and then they vanished

reply

I don't think you lie :-) I personally wouldn't mind a UFO encounter if i was in company. I always dreamed about seeing one.

reply

It was about 30 years ago
Weird to say the least!

reply

I think you're lucky. Would be really cool.

reply

[deleted]

Creepy! And then you stuck around to watch that movie, in the dark, with creepy usher lurking about? You’re a brave fella.

reply

[deleted]

that is a bloody great story.

reply

[deleted]

lol, a being that always keeps track of time for you, that's actually not so bad XD

reply

LMAO

reply

I would have run out of there!
Good on you for staying put

reply

Heard shuffling in another room once. Creepy stuff!!

reply

I've posted this before but here goes.

An elderly shopkeeper in Auckland New Zealand called me by my first name during a brief conversation. I hadn't introduced myself and there's absolutely no way she could have known.

reply

Sounds like a witch or fortune teller.

reply

It's possible. She was very sweet and pleasant btw. I look back on the incident with curiosity and wonder, not fear.

reply

What sort of shop was this?

reply

Souvenir shop combined with a place where you could book day trips, bus rides etc. Nice place, a part of a chain as far as I remember. It was in the evening, my last day in NZ before flying out the next day. This was back in 1996 btw.

reply

So not the stereotypical place where you would imagine meeting such a person then, even if she found out your name in some logical way it's still creepy why she would look for or memorize it, very strange indeed.

reply

were you carrying luggage with a name tag ??

reply

No, and I'd never been to the shop before. I've pondered over this over the years, hownos, and it still absolutely baffles me: I paid in cash and I didn't take my credit card out of my wallet. I live in Denmark which is approximately 18.000 kilometres away from New Zealand and I have no relatives in the country. Compared to ufos and ghosts this may be a small thing, but to me it's absolutely inexplicable. The only logical explanation is that she took a lucky guess - but I doubt it.

reply

I recall this
Crazy story!
