What happened to the Veronica Cartwright character at the end of Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) when the Donald Sutherland character rats her out.

I imagine, as Sutherland rats her out, if we were to see those final moments from a God's eye view, pod people would be closing in on her from all sides.
