Pet peeves

1 Uptalking!
2. People using the word "like" all the time. For example, someone saying "I went to the store and like I forgot my wallet, so like I had to go home and get it and like I lost my keys. . . . ."
3. People talking on their cell phones while walking across the street or in restaurants with a partner and they are both on their cell phones.
4. People driving in the rain w/o using their headlights. It's the law in the state where I live.
. .. . . it goes on and on. . . .

I'm in complete agreement with all of yours. I recall that when I first heard a description of 'uptalk' it was attributed to just females, but that's certainly no longer true. One hears it everywhere.

I find the overuse and misuse of 'like' very annoying. You weren't like, 15 minutes late, you were about 15 minutes late! 🙄

Here's an eye-roll for people who, when describing a past event, use the present tense - "I look out the window and see a man standing there. So then I go open the door, and I say, who are you?"
How about "I looked out the window and saw a man standing there. So I opened the door and said, who are you?"

Yes, I know I'm being picky, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
