Which type of employee/co-worker is worse in your opinion?

An employee who doesn't take kindly to mistakes the other employees makes and lashes out their anger at other employees when they accidentally mess up or doesn't do their job correctly and whenever they're pissed off about something they take their anger out on the other employees.

or

An employee who is pretty laid back but shows favoritism towards some of their co-workers and acts snobby and superior to the other co-workers who they don't care much for along with them sucking up to the supervisors/manager

reply

Lazy employees who don't do their job and pretend it was an accident then make a bunch of drama about other employees.

reply

I prefer the angry employee. That's how you get a job done and on time.

reply

I prefer angry employee because all the negative is out there, in plain view and on the record.

I hate sycophants and fake people.

reply

I am surprised that nobody has mentioned the saboteur. The person that maliciously undermines others to preserve their image, clear the way for promotions and other perks, or flat out destroy competition.

reply

^ The very worst of all

reply

Especially if that person is in a position of authority, lies, falsely accuses and discredits an employee in a company performance evaluation, which can become a permanent portion of said employees's file.

reply

I do admit the angry employee is more upfront and honest than the one who shows favoritism.

reply

I'm lucky enough not run into either of these problems so really don't know which is worse. Everyone in my workplace must interact closely together in order to achieve the same goals. If performance is an issue, they are regulated to non-essential or medial tasks that are going to get done at the end of the day anyway.

For the first employee I also remember him lashing out towards a Hispanic employee in his 60's for being slow and making a mistake on something, a few years later the Hispanic employee told me he thought he was such an a-hole, the second employee wasn't really mean to the Hispanic employee but he wasn't really too fond of him either and treated him like he was a lesser person.

reply

I'd rather deal with the second type.

Me too although he disrespected me when he demanded to the manager to have the evenings & weekends off which resulted in us switching positions and me getting less hours (thankfully that only lasted for a couple months when they've realized he wasn't working out in my position).
