I didn't even know there was a remake, but I guess it really doesn't surprise me. Hollywood has very few original ideas these days. Love the original!!

I agree. I mean, it was done pretty much shot for shot. A few strange things were added, and of course, they brought it up to date. While it wasn't necessary, it was like watching other actors preform in the same play. That is the way I see remakes.
Some really are pointless. Some are dreadful! Hence, your thread....

The Fog remake was garbage and Red Dawn was pretty worthless too

Yep It's the absolute goods for a horror film. It's terrifying on many, many levels.
