Someone will post a line from a tv show and the others will quess what it is

I'll start

"Indeed"

reply

" Submitted for your approval... "

reply

Out of the dark here...

Get Smart?

reply

No

reply

"The Twilight Zone"

reply

yes , a true classic by Rod Serling

reply

Though he did get a little cheap and put some of those episodes on tape instead of film. Sickens me when catch a taped one.

reply

"I'm Jewish. That is no cakewalk. Last year I was voted class treasurer and I didn't even run"

reply

OK, here's an easy one:

"Elementary my dear Watson"

reply

Sherlock Holmes...

reply

He's consumed with her, totally devoted to her, she's everything to him. There is nobody else.

Early in the series he refers to her as "Cadamia!"

Mid way thru the series he refers to her as "Cada!"

Finally toward the end of it's 2 year run he hisses just "Ca!"

reply

I'm thinking of a mansion setting with elegant surroundings with some kind of esteemed family but I can't put my finger on it. I know it's not Downtown Abbey.

reply

Yes, definitely a mansion, but the surroundings are not elegant, nor is the family held in esteem. Rather, they're eschewed totally by the surrounding community. But, the family is 100% intact. Mother & father love one another, are active sexually, their children, a boy & a girl are well adjusted and behaved. The family honors their elder family members and have provided a place for them in the mansion and in their hearts.

reply

Did it have an episode early in the show where a girl cried to her parents because she read a story where a dragon got slayed by a knight in shining armor? I think I know what it is. Nearly every guest is intimated by the family butler. It's off the tip of my tongue.

reply

You got it!!!

reply

I'll come back to this later. I know what it is but can't recall it's name. It's got me excited.

reply

It's the Addams Family!

[Gomez] Time to contact our favorite witch doctor. Oh, he's not available? I guess we'll have to use a conventional doctor instead (sighs) {paraphrased}

reply

Absolutely!

reply

"Tonight's the night."

reply

The Tonight Show with Jay Leno

reply

Never watched that, don't know, might be a good answer, but I was thinking of something else. Fictional.

reply

I think Leno did say that at some point but you have me thinking now. What else could it be?

Kolchak: The Night Stalker?

reply

I remember when that was building up for release. I waited on that with such anticipation. It was a good too. Especially the early ones.

reply

I saw an episode of it for the first time on MeTV the other week and it caught my attention, plan on watching it some more soon. I've heard it's real good and has a strong following. The two telefilms are being planned for an upcoming individual and double feature releases on DVD and Blu-Ray. Here's the info.

reply

I don't think I saw that. I'm thinking of something more recent.

reply

Okay, another hint for "Tonight's the night."

It was the very first line of the first episode, repeated a few more times throughout the series. Category: crime drama.

reply

Hey! Let's be careful out there!

reply

Hill Street Blues

reply

I loved that line. Yes, it was an easy one, but I thought it was time for one. There's still a few on this thread that haven't been solved yet.

reply

And they always found a fresh approach to the utterance. Sometimes you think they'd forgotten and the crew would be about out the damn door. "Hey, hey..."

Then when he died Prosky tried it, but, it didn't work with him.

reply
