We had a murder in our nieghborhood!

We still don't have the details. This is so shocking because this is such a nice area in our town. Yes. There are drug busts and there is crime. It actually isn't a town.... it's a small city. I find it scary that this has happened only 5 blocks away from our house. The police have been on the scene since 8:30 yesterday morning. I don't know the people involved. I believe that they were renting because that house is never occupied by the same people for more than a few years. The news still hasn't given all of the details.
Anyone else ever experience this sort of thing in their neighborhood?
I'm disturbed by the whole thing. It isn't just the local police involved. The State Police is now involved as well as the state Crime Lab.

I just finished watching the first episode in a documentary series about The Golden State Killer, considered to be California's most prolific serial rapist and murderer, even eclipsing The Zodiac and The Night Stalker ( at one time in his history he was referred to as The Original Night Stalker ). After 40+ years he's still at large and authorities also believe, still alive. He taunted one victim 24 years after the assault. Really creepy stuff !

That's the stuff my husband watches every now and then. I'm no better. I get into those true crime shows too. Add the horror movies I enjoy, and my mind is primed! The imagination goes wild!

Years ago, there was a murder within a few blocks of us. I remember the crime scene tape was up for quite a while. Later we learned it was a mental health issue - supposedly someone lost it and snapped. It was several years before the house was sold after some extensive remodeling.

We still haven't heard any of the details yet. We watched the news again this morning. They just said that The police still can't give any information yet because of the investigation.
