Movie Challenge Y'all!!!

Think of a movie you love and post some dialogue...

Offer a hint as to the context, the lighting or soundtrack, describe a scene...
Other posters have to figure out the movie
I will start:
A few dudes are going fishing...
'Were going to need a bigger boat'

reply

In a nuthouse:

" What do you think you are,...crazy or somethin' ? Well , you're not ! You're no crazier than the average asshole walkin ' around on the streets and that's it. "

reply

One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest

reply

I'll be really surprised if anyone gets this...
(Guy falling down a flight of stairs)
"A! E! I! O! U! ...whyyyyyyy?"

reply

Was that Homer??
The Simpson's Movie!

reply

Good guess but nope!
Another clue from the same movie, same character...
"MASTER! MASTER!! (notices everyone looking at him suspiciously) I mean... mister! mister!"

reply

Oh man...hard one!!
Mulling it over...
Nice to meet you by the way rooprect👍

Was it that funny lazy-eyed guy from Young Frankenstein?

reply

Nice to meet you S.o.Y, and omg you're soooooo close. It's indeed a Mel Brooks flick but about 20 years later.
Another clue... same character
(as he's being groped by 2 hot vampire chicks) "This is wrong I tell you, wrong! ....WRONG ME! WRONG ME! WRONG MY BRAINS OUT!"

reply

Oh jeez!
Is it Dracula: Dead and Loving it??

And is this Leslie Nielsen day??
Thats like the fourth time he's come up today lol
That guy deserves more mention!

reply

YESSS!!

reply

Dracula , Dead And Loving It , maybe ???

reply

YESSS!! "I liiiiike the vay you tink!"

reply

I apologize - Shogun beat me by about ten minutes , but I had already posted before I noticed.
Rest in peace , Leslie and thanks for all the entertainment - enjoyed all your movies , comedic and dramatic

reply

Oh heck...im pretty sure you beat me there but no matter colarodotex;)

And yes!!
Greyere posted a great link earlier about Airplane and Leslie has been the talk of the town all day

Well done Greyere🍻

reply

( Women ) They only think about themselves. Why , during sex , Vanessa - she used to scream out her own name !

reply

The Ghost and Mr. Chicken?

reply

nope

reply

It's 'Back to School'! I saw the movie on TV a long time ago. The graduation speech at the end is funnier now than it was back during its release.

reply

Movie is a Dangerfield classic - No matter how many times I see it , when Rodney asks that girl if he she'd like to see his " Longfellow " - I totally lose it.

Same way with multiple lines in " Caddyshack "

reply

Not a movie, but, from a B&W television series enormously popular in the '60's. An episode: Neighbors are discussing a child's behavior when one woman accuses the boy's mother: "You're the one who had to go and have him!"

reply

The Andy Griffith Show?

reply

No. Think darker. Think of the origins of a cob of corn.

reply

Is it some sort of alien fiasco series like The Invaders?

reply

Yes, that genre.

What is the opposite of a (bad life)?

reply

A good life.??

reply

The actor/child they're discussing would later in his career become lost somewhere, way the hell out there. It wasn't so bad though he had a doctor with him, mom & dad and one of the Cartwrights was a long for the adventure. A Major was there as well and he hated the doctor but had wood for this boy's older sister.

reply

I recognize the Cartwrights from Bonanza.

I think the Twilight Zone with Rod Serling had an episode called It's A Good Life or something like that.

Sounds like the boy from the original Lost In Space by Irwin Allen.

reply

That's it, A. You got it. The Cartwright was Angela Cartwright/Penny on Lost In Space along with Billy Mumy.

The inference in the line that I put out in the original post led the viewer to believe the pregnancy was of a nefarious nature.

reply

Good one Cubby! You had me in crossing my T's on that one, like a gottha' moment. See you next round.

reply

"Five minutes? You want five fucking minutes? You know what?

[pulls out gun]

I don't have FIVE FUCKING MINUTES!"

reply

Wild guess.

Dirty Harry?

reply

Nope. Where's Shogie? He should know this!

reply

16 Blocks, gritty NYC crime thriller ?

reply

Ah, the one with Bruce Willis and Mos Def. No.

reply

I just remember there being a time deadline in this.

reply

Just a wild guess but is it: "Reservoir Dogs?"

reply

Love that movie, but no.

reply

I know it, but, I can't name it. I can see the scene. SOB!!!

reply

The Room😉

reply

I knew you'd come to the rescue!

Gonna watch it again next week. And play a drinking game, of course! Oh hi, Mark! 🍻

reply

We should 'watch' it together...maybe start a thread and get a bunch of our peeps involved..?

And of course a drinking game!

Ok...let me think this over
Frankly, MORE people need to see The Room around here😂

reply

I'm afraid we're the only ones around here who have an appreciation for The Room, Shogie!☹

reply

Well that makes sense...we are just about the coolest

Im finding a ton of clips on YouTube
Gonna check my streaming services...this might be a bit hard to put together
I love the idea

Ill get back to you dear lady😘

reply

From a movie. Just a scene, a death scene...

The male body is in law enforcement uniform and has fallen quite a distance of height and landed in a gorge atop some very large rocks/boulders. The northwest weather is cold, ipso facto there is steam rising from this limp, dead body.

reply

"The people are starving and you want to stop me?"

reply

From a TV show:

A disgruntled newspaperman to another:

"Jesus! You remember in the good old days when nobody in their right mind would stage a perp walk without calling a daily newspaper? Nowadays, all they care about is a goddamn video."

reply
