Movie Challenge Y'all!!!

Think of a movie you love and post some dialogue...

Offer a hint as to the context, the lighting or soundtrack, describe a scene...
Other posters have to figure out the movie
I will start:
A few dudes are going fishing...
'Were going to need a bigger boat'

Good work. I couldn't even think of one Vietnam movie that was made when the war was ongoing.

reply

Just a lucky guess really

reply

" And it feels good to be a wolf, doesn't it ? Power without guilt. Love without doubt. "

reply

Wolf?

reply

Yeah, maybe a tad bit obvious, but not for everyone.

reply

Nice!
I was lost on that one

reply

It was a wild guess. I didn't recognize the quote, though I did see the movie. Pretty good flick.

reply

Yeah and it does have some good dialogue which is what contributes to making it good.

reply

Perfect casting also.

reply

Very good chemistry between Nicholson & Pfeiffer !

The eternal mystery: What was in the briefcase?

reply

Typed from memory (haven't seen the movie in like 15 years)... Ezekiel twenty-five, seventeen: The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish, and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of brotherhood(?) and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper, and the finder of lost children. I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will KNOW my name is the LORD, when I lay my vengeance upon thee!

reply

Maybe it's just goodwill, and not two words in that sentence. Oh wait, I think it's fellowship. Fellowship and goodwill.

reply

Nevermind, I looked it up. It's charity, and it's also good will, not goodwill (which is the company name, Goodwill).

reply

That’s some memory. Very impressive.

reply

Pulp Fiction

reply

Correct.

Batman and Robin?

reply

[deleted]

The pun hint tipped me off. I enjoy even the goofiest of puns.

But I've suppressed all other memories of that film. Psychological defense mechanism.

I'm glad I lived to see the Nolan trilogy ensure that B&R wasn't the last cinematic word on the matter.

If Affleck is really out as the rumors have it, my dream is that they bring Keaton back as Batman for JL2 playing a "gruff old dad" to the rest of the team.

reply

I liked Affleck quite a lot in the role but grumpy Keaton Batman could be amazing!
