shareDirty Harry in Zodiac.
shareI see Night of the Living Dead being played in the background of lots of horrors...it seems that NOTLD is in the public domain now so its frequently used
shareNight of the Living Dead has always been in public domain. Originally it was called Night of the Flesh Eaters and it had that title card with the copyright logo beneath, but there was already another movie called Flesh Eaters, so the title was changed to NOTLD and the title card was taken down, the copyright along with it. When they put the NOTLD title card on, they forgot to put the copyright notice back!
shareWow!
Interesting...had no idea
Thx
Bugs Bunny's Looney Christmas Tales features in Lethal Weapon. As does A Christmas Carol (1951).
Plenty of other references throughout the movie too!
"A Guy Named Joe" in "Poltergeist."
"The Evil Dead" in "A Nightmare on Elm Street."
"Problem Child" in "Cape Fear."
"All That Heaven Allows" in "Cape Fear."
"The Bells of St. Mary's" in "The Godfather."
"Rebel Without A Cause" in "LaLa Land."
Se7en in The Butterfly Effect
shareHalloween 2 in Halloween 3, Season of the Witch.
I am sure to be back as I keep thinking of them.....
Halloween in Scream
sharePsycho is mentioned in some TV shows and movies but the only example I can think of right now is when "Julian" mentions Norman Bates during an episode of One Tree Hill. Ironically enough, that actor from OTH was on the final season of Bates Motel and let's just say, Norman wasn't too fond of this guy. 😮
shareThe Shining in Twister
The Birds and Vertigo in Twelve Monkeys
Lawrence of Arabia in Prometheus
in "Targets" (1968), it starts with another movie (i actually thought THAT was it).. Later on, you see the movie is about an old movie star (Boris Karloff).. We see "The Raven" with him and a very young Jack Nicholson.
shareHuman Traffic (1999) mentions "Trainspotting" (1996).
Broken (2012) mentions "One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest" (1975).
