Ive heard a US penny costs more than its worth to mint...seems a waste
I swear, too many Americans are terrified of change. (nice pun, huh?) They've tried to get rid of them but people raise a ruckus every time they do. Maybe the way to do it is to buy back the copper? How many people have jars, bowls, or whatever full of pennies, and they just sit there. No one knows what to do with them.
shareI save them and all of my loose change in those jars. They go to the bank. I have a special little "Change Account". I've had it for 15 years. this is just a little thing I tried. I haven't touched it since I started it. I have a little over $4000.00 in that account. I'm not sure of what I'll do with it. i suppose that it will go to our son along with everything else one day.
