Nah, too many bad experience with users to ever think of it as cool or fun.
shareI've done all the drugs.
Not worth it in my opinion.
LSD and mushies are the only two which were close to worthwhile.
Maybe MDMA too.
Fin.
I tried pot a looooooong time ago, but didn't like the way it made me feel. . . tired.
shareThen try a sativa! It will make you want to get up and do something. Indica is good for pain or winding down at the end of the day. Weed back in the day was crap too. The countries that exported it didn't care about quality, only quantity. They didn't even bother to cull the males, which is why half your bag was filled with seeds.
shareThanks, but I don't need anything. I like the way I naturally feel.
shareI don't know what you consider "back in the day " but I disagree. My first joint was on the island of Okinawa in the late 60s. It was Vietnamese weed, very potent and highly prized. A lot of that made its way to the U. S. via the soldiers.
A few years later, Mexican weed was some of the most popular in my crowd. What we considered crap was the local stuff, referred to as " homegrown. "
60's and 70's mostly. I'm not saying there wasn't quality weed to be found, but for the most part it was massed produced, harvested early and not dried/cured properly. The hash on the other hand I've read was superb. I highly recommend the book Mr. Nice by Howard Marks.
Mexican farmers used to grow some really nice landrace cannabis (heirloom). Unfortunately, when the cartels took over everything went to hell. The real shame is that eventually the gene pool was polluted with Dutch genetics and a lot of the classic strains were lost for good. Shamefully, I used to partake in this stuff in the early 2000's. A lot of the time it was brown and smelled horrible.
I think nowadays the best stuff if organically grown by small Mom & Pop operations, by people who care about the product they are producing. One concern of legalization is that large companies will take over and put these folks out of business. Sadly there's a lot of greed out there. Some people only care about money.
I had several different types of hash back then. The last and most popular I experienced was known as Blond Lebanese.
And then there was mescaline....
Been there, done that as part of the 60's counter culture
