In a press conference today, it was announced they could be facing a sentence of 94 years to life.
Huh ? I mean, I'm aware people live longer nowadays but if 94 years is the bottom number, what kind of life expectancy do they have in mind here ?
I suspect it's based on the state's sentencing laws. Their crimes were committed on 13 victims so maybe each crime X 13 = minimum 94 years??

Seems we have some of these stories a couple times a year.
It's messed up, tragic and infuriating. When I read about cases like this from, say, the 70s, I'm like yeah that was a more innocent time. But now? Nowadays? How does this happen? Truly heart breaking stuff.
