How long have you left the tree up after Christmas?

I usually have it down by New Year's Day. We had a neighbor, though, when I was young, who once didn't take it down till March or April. I don't know why he did that -- he seemed like a perfectly normal person. And I don't recall him doing this any other year. Just for that one year, for whatever reason, he snapped, or something, and just couldn't take that tree down ...

I usually take mine down January 2nd or 3rd.

At first I thought I saw X-Men in your topic title. I don't do a tree anymore, though, and haven't since I was a kid. Even my Mom decided it was too much and we stopped while I was in high school.

We always had a fake tree. We take it out of the attic, piece by piece, just after Thanksgiving, and assemble it in the living room. If maintaining a real tree wasn't so arduous I wouldn't mind using it for X-Mas one of these days. ,

I had mine in the living room until May one year.

Why was that?

Pure laziness 😎

I take it down when you're supposed to, after Three Kings' Day. It's a real one, of course!

When we were kids our mom took the tree down by herself the first day when we went back to school after Christmas vacation. I think it was easier for her than having us all underfoot. She had a little quiet time and un-decorated.

I remember coming home from school that day and the tree was gone. The holiday was officially over. Sort of a letdown, but that was a clear ending of the season.

Ive done 3 trees the last couple of years
Two are fake and one ( a real big boy) is real
All will be gone by Jan 2nd or so...

I didn't even put up my tree this year. It's a small four foot tree which I bring up from the basement and simply plug in.
I was too busy, and I'm at my sister's house in Kansas for Christmas. BTW, Dorothy and Toto send their Christmas Greetings!

Mine will probably be gone by January 2nd. As much as I enjoy looking at it and all its glitter and shine, I'm keen to have my living room back. My tree is usually up by Thanksgiving, so I'm ready to move on by the first of January.
