I just don't think that any of my dislike for certain actors is irrational. If they've got an annoying face, it's completely natural to hate them for it.

Talk about irrational (for me), I actually liked that Water For Elephants or whatever that movie was he did with Reese Witherspoon. Maybe it was just because I saw it on a date with a woman I like, but it wasn't horrifying or gory. It was sort of old-fashioned and pleasant.

I liked it, but it seemed like a made-for-TV movie. Can't remember who his love interest was.
Never have seen the movie he made with Anna Kendrick, either. I kind of like her, but it seemed awful fluffy. I'm probably not in the right demographic.

I'm with you on Russell Crowe, although I don't think it's an irrational dislike.

Likewise with Gwyneth Paltrow, whom I find annoying, because she comes off as so unrelentingly upper crust.

I'm fine with both Emma Watson and Nick Cage.

Can't stand Barbra Streisand because she's *such* a diva and can never lose herself in a role, Jack Nicholson or Bruce Willis because I think they're both asshats that never transcend that in their roles.

Likewise Gwyneth.

The only one I don't agree with is Nicholas Cage. While granted he's been in a number of terrible movies more recently, he was also in some very good ones, and IMO did an incredible job. Did you ever see Face-Off? I thought he was amazing in that.

Not surprised to hear Bruce Willis is a complete dick. His dickness struck me way back when he was on Moonlighting.

I try not to think about Gwyneth as a lifestyle guru, but I really am smitten with her looks. I even like her Mom (Blythe Danner) just as much. I definitely don't like rich people telling the rest of us how to live and spend money, but I don't involve myself with that aspect of her life. Her turn in Iron Man really didn't do much for me, but sometimes I'll see her in something like Great Expectations and I can't believe how attractive I find her.

OMG...he is so annoying! It worked in his breakout role on MOONSTRUCK in the 80's but then he never went anywhere, artistically...just kept doing the same thing over and over and over, forever. He's rich, but I find him kind of unwatchable : (

This is irrational. Edward Norton. It's the name! I always think of Art Carney! They look nothing alike. I just can't get past the name.
I enjoy Barbara Streisand's singing but I hate to watch her in a movie. You just know that she is aware of the camera. There are other actresses like that but at the moment I can't remember which ones.

Yes! Her relentless awareness of the camera, how she looks, that she's BARBRA STREISAND and don't you forget it, is what bugs me so much about her acting. Even though, overall, I liked 3 or so films she was in.

I'm not a particular fan of her singing, but grudgingly have to admit that, objectively, she has some pipes.
