Does Anyone Else Think That Just Posting A Link Is Not A Post At All, But It Is Plagiarism?

If you have a message to share, please write it. If you are so cognitively bankrupt that all you can do is to cut and paste someone else's intellectual property, don't waste my time.

I'm referring to posts that are NOTHING but a pasted link. I'm okay with posts that contain a written statement and linked documentation. I think the lonely-link "posts" epitomize sloth. How about you?

A post that only contain a link (or accompanied by few lines of vague description / clickbait) should be considered as spam.

Yes, agree and I fucking report them, and tell them off. They are either incredibly stupid that they can't add anything, or are being paid to garner links for someone's shitty webpage.

Even if you rephrase their words, it's still plagarism. You have to cite your source (where or who the information originated) as well.

actually, you don't have to do any of that in chat rooms, there is no charge or punishment, it's done all the time, most times it's just to give the OP some info for the question that is asked, I do it all the time, in quotes, copying is sometimes looked at as a compliment, and how do you know that what your copying is actually original? that person could have copied someone else, other than that, pray for world peace, that's just as useless.
