There's A Full Moon ๐ Tonight
. . . so, if you're feeling strange, and/or the people around you are acting strange, and/or you're growing a lot of hair and fangs, that's why.

shareMajor holiday week-end coming up which heralds the end of summer and the moon is waxing full !
The night sky is magnificent and the vibes are strong.
It's beautiful here as well. Crickets singing, the moon just past half full, stars, some interesting cloud formations that are lit up by the moon, and the temperature is perfect now that the day's cooled off.
I'm outside grilling dinner, enjoying it all.
Beautiful, it is; but it's the quarter waxing moon, not the full moon. Nonetheless, celebrate, my esteemed friends!; and thank you so much for remembering this topic.
Outside grilling dinner: yum! Does it get better than that, my friend?
Ah, you misunderstood me, my friend. "The moon just past half full" = the waxing moon. It's more than a quarter, more than half, not quite yet 3/4s.
I'm preparing to celebrate the last full moon of the summer. Not without a little sadness.
Last night was wonderful -- the moon, crickets, clouds, and the food :)
Tonight there's a good amount of cloud cover, high humidity, feels like tropical storm weather. At 8:00 it was 82. Too hot. Still, I'm enjoying seeing the moon occasionally break through the clouds. May you be enjoying your moon tonight too.
It seems today was the last hot day of summer; major temperature change occurring overnight. I've seen heat waves end on Labor Day weekend before.
I can't help but feel like Jimmy Stewart's character in Rear Window tonight, sitting on my porch and surveying the intriguing, mysterious late night activity in my dark and tranquil neighborhood. The waxing moon is almost directly over my house and like I said previously, " the vibes are strong. "
Who's looking forward to what the night skies brings tonight? I am!
Also hoping for cooler, less humid weather. Last night at 11:00, it was 78. This morning at 8:30, also 78 :|
More than the moon is going on, if you share my beliefs. At 6:29 AM Eastern time this coming Tuesday, September 11th, Mercury moves from stationary retrograde to stationary direct. Problems with communications, travel, schedules and machines will start to clear up.
PS cat, what yummy things are you grilling? Grilling is so atavistic!
I'm not particularly into astrology, if that's what you mean, which it appears to be. I'm just a fan of the moon, specifically the full moon, but hey I'll take almost any moon.
I wanted to clear up your misunderstanding of what I said. I'm almost always aware of the moon, because I'm so enamoured of its light and with its energy, which is almost always positive for me.
Tonight it's beautiful, eyeballing I'd say it's about 7/8ths full, so full should be night after next, or close enough for rock and roll.
Here it's still too damned hot, even at 12:30 am, which is unusual, but there are just a few clouds still in the sky, lit up by the moon but not covering it, and it's beautiful.
I love grilling! Even if it's not hot. Night before last it was a turkey burger with fresh rosemary, and veggie skewers of fresh mushrooms, alternated with red onion, zucchini, and cherry tomatoes, marinated.
Today for lunch it was another turkey burger, this time with just garlic salt and pepper, on a bed of excellent lightly toasted wheat bread, greens, a crisp yellow onion slice, couple slices of fresh tomato, with a smear of mayo and BBQ sauce.
What can I say, I'm an atavist at heart!
In my neck of the woods the full moon will likely interfere with seeing the northern lights, which are predicted to be visible tonight. Sort of the opposite of missing the eclipse because of an unfortunately timed thunderstorm. ๐
shareThe next Full Moon is this coming Saturday morning, East Coast USA time, but MC is feeling its effects tonight. It will also be a rare Blue Moon, meaning it is the second Full Moon ocurring in the same calendar month.

Sorry, but I just couldn't resist.....
Nice
There IS something sexy about that song...parked at the train station or out behind the trees in the park
Young, fumbling 'love'
Well done
I keep thinking of An American Werewolf In London, but I do remember my older sisters playing the 45 on their little record player when I was but a little child.....
This should calm things down.
Yes...famous ditty with multiple connotations...
Sexy time in the teenaged car, mom's kitchen radio during dinner and several movie soundtracks...frankly, all fine memories

Sam the Sham! Plus the Pharaohs!
Iโve always wondered how awkward it was to introduce yourself to a girl at the bar as โIโm one of the Pharohs,โ or โIโm one of the Shondells.โ Probably not a whole lotta getting laid after that.
Thank you, Miss Margo๐๐ป
shareI'm very cognizant of that beautiful, bright orb overhead in my back yard tonight and its effect here. But it's waxing full in Libra, balance & harmony. Oh well, always exceptions...
shareI read we will not be seeing another one again until sometime in 2020. There seems to be all kinds of theories as to why people come out of the woodwork when one occurs, assuming the effect is real. It might have something to do with nocturnal plant life like phosphorus found on fungus being more active with the extra moonlight and somehow affecting people's senses.
shareThe adult human body is 70 percent water; a childโs body is a higher percentage. The Moon has a powerful influence on water, especially on tides. Iโm just stating acknowledged, Cartesian-rationalized science. The Moon affects us physically. Emotionally? Iโm not even going to go into the arcana of astrology. Ask any cop, any cab driver, any bar tender, any Emergency Room worker if s/he KNOWS when itโs a Full Moon, and be prepared for a uniform answer. Full Moons bring things to a completion. You do not have to share my faith, though I hope and invite you to, but my Lord and Savior died under the Full Moon in Libra, and He was reborn and Rose on the Third Day, which, this year, is perfectly, Easter Sunday, to show us that we all can have eternal life. The three words that changed the world: He is risen. Blessings on all of you who are here; particularly on Harvard Barbie.
shareBecause itโs thriller !
