DOGE uncovered social security checks being mailed and cashed by people in the following age brackets. Who's cashing these checks? Besides Joe Biden.

For real, this is the level of waste, abuse, fraud and corruption in the government that the Democrats want to protect and don't want to correct? Why are they so upset at discovering that we're mailing out millions of checks to people who cannot possible be over 100 years old (well, maybe a few are), but look at these numbers. Who could oppose DOGE digging into this and investigating what the hell is going on here? There's no way we have 4,000 people who are 130 years old.

They voted for Dictator Joe, most likely, and probably Kamelturd.

Can you believe there are 22 million people (maybe even more that aren't registered on the database) collecting checks from people who died even further back than 200 years ago?! How the hell does that work?! Social Security wasn't even invented until the 1930s! Elon made a vampire joke online about it.

if true , that is boss level incompetence in the social security dept.
Gone undetected by governments of both sides for decades presumably.

well , same reason Trump didnt do it on his last go-round, or any of the previous dem or gop leaders.

Who could have imagined that incompetence of that scale was going on.
I do remember seeing a video of some attempt at cost saving in the past , it was some senator other grilling a military guy about why a packet of about 5 bolts used in an F16 costs a zillion $ to replace.

but you'd think general cost cutting a deadwood removal is a standard part of the job - not Trumps job but the people below him at the head of each federal dept.

I dont think people object to Musk and DOGE doing that , they are just nervous he will mess it up up by over doing it.

as I recall, Trump was busy for the entire 4 years defending himself from fake investigations and impeachments. maybe dems should have just worked with Trump instead of trying to illegally remove him from office.

dems went on a insane spending spree and the left wing media said nothing and did not care. basically Joe was the "Oprah" of free money. you get a billion, you get a billion, you get a billion, you get a billion, and you get a billion.

yeah, there is a video of Clinton/Gore talking about cutting waste from the gov, I even think there is one of Obama but I could be wrong. but when Trump wants to cut waste after the prolific spending of Dementia Joe, somehow he is the bad guy. it literally makes no sense.

dems will object to anything Trump does. he nominated a democrat and his fellow dems freaked out. no matter what Trump does in the next 4 years, dems will be against it.

Those are *very* specific numbers and age ranges , where did you get them ?

The most the fact checker website I found could corroborate was:

There is a 2023 report by the social security inspector general which identified about 19 million people born in 1920 or earlier who didn't have any death data on file - 44,000 of whom were still receiving social security benefits.

The report was triggered by calls to better maintain claimant records, after the Social Security Administration in 2021 estimated some 24,000 people received payments by the agency after death, amounting to almost $300m.
