I'm not quite sure I know what you are talking about, but then again, I don't think you know what you are talking about? If you are referring to my post as being hypocritical then I ask you to go back and read it once more, maybe you will understand it. But I doubt it.

Turn on American TV to CBS or the BET channel and watch the previews of the new soap then go back and read my post.

If you still don't understand then I suggest you watch other news outlets instead of Socialist anti-American TV like CNN or MSNBC, then maybe you will understand?

See, this is exactly what I want. I have no problem with channels like BET, just like we used to have. I want Black people to have their own channels, movies, and shows. I just wish White people were given the same privilege — without diversity being forcibly shoehorned into everything.

You're self-unaware (not your fault) so I'll gladly explain it to you with an example:

Brilliant episode of "All in the Family" when bigot Archie Bunker was in the hospital sharing a room with a French guy. They didn't see each other because a curtain divided the room. They talk and become good friends. Later, Archie asks that the curtain is drawn so he can see his French friend. Archie is in complete shock because the French guy is black.
Archie: "You didn't tell me you was black!"
Pierre: "You didn't tell me you was white!"
Archie: "I didn't have to because I'm regular."

Archie's attitude about being regular is a common attitude among whites. White is considered the default, standard, generic and norm. That's why "flesh-colored" bandages had a white person's skintone.

Basically, terms like white newspaper, white channel, white author, white haircare product aren't used because it's already understood that they're white aka regular.

The OP is a perfect example of this mindset. Majority of soaps have been white soaps, but the OP ignores those (because they're regular) and criticizes the only black soap in 35 years.

Whenever something is not "regular" aka white, then whites react. A movie or TV show without whites starring are criticized since they're not "regular".

White people don't understand that white is a specific cultural group also. White TV shows, movies, books, school courses, etc cater specifically to whites. Whites have experiences, attitudes, beliefs, culture that are specifically white, but whites mistakingly believe everyone including non-whites share them. It's white myopia.

Again white is not mentioned because it's "regular", but the aforementioned are from a specific white cultural experience or viewpoint.

If I buy a newspaper owned by a white guy with 98% white journalists then it is a white newspaper, but it will never be called that. The white part is never mentioned.

You shouldn't expect everything to revolve around only white culture and viewpoint when we're a pluralistic society.
