Trump said he would end Ukraine war "on day one"
It is day three now so, er, what happened? They're not even at the negotiation table.
shareIt is day three now so, er, what happened? They're not even at the negotiation table.
shareI heard he had threatened "tarriffs" - his go to phrase when trying to act like a real grown up politician with actual policy
... which will make no difference
My word, a politician didn't keep an election promise. This is unprecedented!!
shareYes, but he seemed so, you know, certain lol .. and he didn't act on Critical Race Theory in schools 'on day one' either, or start all those mass deportations.
sharePolitical promise not kept? Unprecedented event, not only in the USA and on planet Earth but also in the whole Galaxy.
shareVery disappointing, but what can you expect from democratic statesmen? Mostly lies and half-truths. However, unlike biden, Trump will urge Putin to sit at the negotiating table. I think that a deal will be made sooner or later.
shareThe American people come first. I don't give a shit if he ends the war or not. I just don't want billions of my tax dollars to be thrown at it.
I suspect Trump's strategy was to stop sending aid to Ukraine with the expectation that they would fold. The Ukrainians aren't going to give up so they can hopefully get more military aid from Europe and Asia. South Korea has a lot of munitions and they might assist Ukraine if more North Koreans join the fight.

The world is in the middle of World War Three but the west isn't doing anything about it. Russia has signed alliances with China, North Korea and Iran. These are all authoritarian regimes and they are all working together to topple Ukraine. These authoritarian regimes will not stop in Ukraine.

No one with any common sense expects him to magically end a ten-year conflict in a single day; only an imbecile would expect that.
All that matters is that he doesn’t fund it using our tax dollars like the Biden regime has been doing to keep a losing war going.
I’ve posted this more than once on different boards, but I’m going to post it again for the dummies, the senile and the TDSers.
Trump uses the following in speeches, interviews and social media posts:
- Hyperbole
- Sarcasm
- Parody
- Crypticism
- Allegory
- Symbolism

You deliberately missed the rest of my post. Thanks for confirming your imbecility.
Gaslighting and Deflection noted.
The point of your post was that Trump uses a number of rhetorical devices. My answer is that your claim is, for the most part special pleading when Trump is, generally speaking, a rather rambling, literal orator The word imbecile you applied to anyone who believed that the conflict could be solved in a day. His supporters swallowed it. I did not.
Glad to put you straight.
It's not special pleading, it's common sense and discernment ... two things that drones lack.
shareIt is when the common experience of Trump's speeches is exactly as I said. He is not subtle man, nor is he a subtle speaker. He rambles and speaks like a salesman in speeches full of non-sequiturs with fractured. unfinished sentences. His speech suggests a man with scattered thoughts, a short span of attention, and a lack of intellectual discipline and analytical skills. Sorry about that.
shareOnce again, you confirm my previous reply. Well done 👏
Trump seems that way only to TDSers and Drones like you. Sorry about that.
Far from it; if you read carefully you will see that I rebutted it with an extended set of obvious observations about President Felon's characteristic speaking style.

You rebutted as another programmed drone; parroting the propaganda.
Hurry and get the new update.
Evasion noted.
shareLike when you evaded my entire post at the top of this thread; except for the 1st sentence ... Yes, Evasion noted indeed. lol
shareI didn't evade it; I hady our entire post in mind when I asked if you really think Trump is a clear and sophisticated speaker, after reading my detailed critique of his oratorical talents? Perhaps you'd care to give actual examples, from the Great Man in action, of any of those rhetorical devices you attributed at the start here? The best I have ever heard in his defence was that he was 'only joking' (Which, ironically, is the exact same response many made upon news of his election win). No, I don't think you will either.
