Trump needs to do a full blanket pardon now of all J6ers.

reply

Why on earth would St. Anthony of Brooklyn need a pardon? He's done nothing wrong at all and in fact, in his own words, is "the science". If I'm him, I wake up this morning and head right to every media outlet to demand that President Biden or Trump rescind this pardon on the grounds that it casts unwarranted suspicion on my actions over the past decade.

He will do that, right? He's going to protest loudly that such a pardon is unnecessary since he's always acted with pure intentions and has absolutely no culpability when it comes to the creation of the covid-19 virus and promoting the extremely damaging "vaccines" rolled out in its wake, right?

Substantiation for any of this?

reply

Lord, you're tedious.

reply

Lord, you haven't offered anything but another personal attack. Ah well, never mind. It is best not to make striking or controversial claims without the wherewithal to back them up.

reply

You mean you're looking for evidence???

Way to stay true to yourself, Ska. 🤣

reply

Troll.

reply

turning your brain on would be a good start

reply

Having some substantiation for wild claims would be even better.

reply

This just proves they're guilty pieces of shit. This is a terrible precedent to set. Biden has further soiled the presidency with this bullshit.

reply

Even more than he soiled his diaper on a daily basis. I don’t like to spike the football but I was saying the son of a bitch was corrupt all the way back in 2020. But of course everyone was focused on a flu and some thug who died of an overdose.

reply

Yep!

reply

….”All Jews” as in the Jewish people in general or that all the Jan.6 committee members are Jewish?

reply

I bet the J6 committee immediately started shredding documents as soon as Trump won the presidency.

Do you really need any more proof that the 1/6 committee was a sham?

reply

They shredded documents long before he won, they got rid of exculpatory evidence ... Trump knew and called them out on it.

reply

This pre-pardon nonsense needs legislating against or a trip to the Supreme Court to designate that someone must first be charged to be pardoned, or something along those lines.

reply

I remember when the Dems kept saying the Supreme Court’s decision that Donald Trump has full immunity for “official acts” taken as president was so sweeping that it opened the door for sitting presidents to do whatever they want without any accountability (including crimes against a political rival). Quite the remarkable irony that a Dem president is actually, not hypothetically, doing this for his agents via preemptive pardons.

This is all the result of the Dems cynical use of the criminal justice system to keep their opponent off the ballot. The entire catastrophic strategy now comes to require their own leader to issue embarrassing preemptive pardons that give the impression these Dem operatives have committed crimes that he must “fix” like the Godfather.

reply

That all seems apparent and is politics as usual. The precedent for it is derived from Ex parte Garland, an 1886 Supreme Court case that described pardon powers as "unlimited." Surely with jurisprudence based on the likes of legislative intent, interpretation and so on, and nearly 150 year old case law, there's room to reevaluate what this means or where it it applies in regards to these fantastical pre-emptive pardons.

reply

If the president's power to pardon is truly unlimited, wouldn’t that mean they could effectively nullify any law by preemptively pardoning everyone in the U.S. who might be convicted under it?

reply

That's a great point. It would be nice if a future president did something like that to demonstrate how truly absurd the notion is. Abolition of the concept would definitely follow after a move like that.

reply

Legalizing drugs might be a great place to start. Imagine if a President preemptively pardoned everyone for the crime of possessing MDMA or psychedelics. With a single stroke of the pen, they could bypass Congress entirely and make it happen.

reply

Under the no limitations construction that would be feasible. It's pretty wild.

reply

I think it would be a highly popular move, especially if the President were a conservative. They’d likely become the most beloved president in history.

reply

You're probably not wrong. That would flip a whole lot of people and their friends and families over to the other side. It might even help to achieve all of the DOGE budget claims that otherwise won't happen short of sacking Social Security.

reply

They better not touch Social Security. I fear that many of the robber baron types surrounding Trump are attempting to erode the last few positive remnants of the New Deal.

reply

I hope not. That vestigial lifeline we've all paid into is all many old people have to rely on. I'm sure it could be sold be sold to the masses as some sort of positive but that would be absolutely devastating on a basic level, as much as our MAGA counterparts here might disagree.

reply

Agreed, something needs to change. Pardoning some asshole in prison is one thing but a pre-emptive pardon for crimes no one has been charged for is scary as shit. Overall I think it has been abused and done outside the spirit of the law.

reply

It is scary. It erases accountability and undermines the public's already strained confidence in the rule of law. Even more so in the context of a hollow figurehead like Biden.

reply

And people call out Trump wanting to pardon alleged scum himself? The hypocrisy is sad.

reply

Its so sad it warrants a double post!

reply

My mouse messes up once again. Need to get a new one.

reply

Its been double clicked too many times!

reply

It always ends the same way with a Logitech mouse.

reply

That pardon is admission of guilt, wrongdoing and crimes.

Federal pardons don't apply to state, local or international charges.

A presidential pardon does not apply to treason/sedition. If any of them are charged with treason, they can be prosecuted.

Fraud can vitiate a federal pardon. Fraud vitiates everything.

That pardon waves their Fifth Amendment rights.

Since Biden can’t be indicted due to his senility, it means that his EOs and pardons can be rescinded.

It’s already on record that he doesn’t remember signing EOs or pardons.

If the Trump card on the 2020 election is pulled, all of Biden’s EOs and pardons will be null and void.
