And then, one day, for absolutely no reason at all, Hitler was elected.
shareand we have reached the same crossroads today. will people vote for Tyranny or Trump?
shareHitler was never elected. What is your ethnicity that you want people to think that Hitler was elected.
shareIt's a meme on the dissident right, intended to echo the kind of historically ignorant claim that leftists make. Ignorant of the facts that lead a large number of Germans to agree with his views on a number of topics.
But what does my ethnicity have to do with anything?
And what "Weimar solution" are you proposing, exactly?
shareDon't worry, in Austria at least the keys are already being made for the camp gates and the black uniforms are back from the dry cleaners..
"Far right in Austria 'opens new era' with election victory.
Austria's far-right Freedom Party (FPÖ) has opened the door to a new era, its leader Herbert Kickl has told supporters, as they celebrated an unprecedented election victory... Kickl [has spoken] of becoming Volkskanzler (people's chancellor) which for some Austrians carries echoes of the term used to describe Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany. The party was founded by former Nazis in the 1950s. Two days before the vote some of its candidates were caught on video singing an SS song at a funeral."

The representatives of Austrian "Democracy" can take a page from their Teutonic cousins and begin throwing their toys out of the pram. And something tells me they will. After all, everyone not on board with the Regime is surely a budding mustache man and must be denied his seat at the table lest we all wind up speaking German. To their north, the elites of the German Republic are doing whatever they can to subvert the AfD in the wake of its recent electoral success. Because...democracy!
They never tire of telling us that we live in a democracy.
This means that that dreaded mass known as “the people” are permitted – with however much groaning and reluctance – to present themselves every four years to choose their representatives. These representatives then betake themselves to the parliament, where they form some manner of government, which proceeds to rule us in highly democratic ways. This is literally the best thing ever, except for the fact that “the people,” in their profound stupidity, cannot always be relied upon to vote for the right parties. Sometimes they vote for the wrong ones, and in these cases democratic solutions must be found to rein in the rabble’s undemocratic exercise of democracy.

Neither AFD nor FPO have won regional or national majorities and other parties are required by law to work with them to form a government.
And like you give a flying fuck about democracy
The issue with the AfD in Thuringia is not that other parties are required to form a government with them, but that the other parties on day one of the new session abrogated existing and agreed upon parliamentary procedures because...Hitler!
You didn't read the particulars before spouting off, did you?

A more balanced account of what happened, because you're using a pretty partisan source. No doubt you'll accuse my source of being such, but this exempts yours because...?
"Neither AFD nor FPO have won regional or national majorities and other parties are required by law to work with them to form a government."
Everything in that sentence is false.
Show me evidence that the AFD and FPO won a majority of votes please.

Do you know what the word "majority" means?
"The AfD has become so notorious that it’s been placed under domestic surveillance for the threat that it poses to Germany’s constitution. Despite this, the party won the most seats in the election in Thüringen, with nearly a third of parliament (32.8%), and it nearly won the most seats in Saxony, with more than 30% of the vote."
Is 30 or 32.8% a majority in your mind?
"The FPO won 28.8 percent of votes, beating the ruling conservative People’s Party (OVP) into second place at 26.3 percent, according to near-complete results."
Is 28.8% a majority of votes in your mind?

>One of the perils of democracy unfortunately. Hitler came to power through elections. Hitler’s Nazi Party was the single largest party and voting bloc in Germany in 1932–33. Hitler became Chancellor through constitutional means. That does not mean democracy per se is unsound, even if it sometime throws up unsound results.
Well yes, but Weimar democracy was deeply flawed and its protection against militant thuggery weak. The elections were marred with voter intimidation.
Oh yes I entirely agree with all that. But ultimately he could not have come to power without the large section of German voters who rallied to his populist rhetoric and joined in his scapegoating of Jews and Communists for the capitalist crisis of the Great Depression. Scapegoating, in fact, that immigrants and other minorities often face on this board, by the usual far-right suspects.
shareScapegoating. I don't think that means what you think it means.
shareScapegoating: the act of blaming a person or group for something bad that someone else has done, or for which they are not responsible. Scapegoating can be done by individuals or groups, and can target individuals, groups, or countries.
What do you have?
Mmm hmm.
My point is that there was certainly a very good case to be made that Jews and communists in Weimar Germany actually did have a deleterious effect on German society. We might disagree about the relative impact they had, but to say that parties were blamed for issues "for which they are (were) not responsible" is simply not true.

Brings a smile to my face. Herbert Kicki wouldn’t happen to be a painter, would he?
shareIs "Kickl" short for "Kicklgruber", by any chance?
shareDefinitely lots of parallels with the trans and lgbtq degenerates.
I wonder how the nazi's would fix the obsession with diversity in today's societies.
I'm not sure how the Nazis would handle it, but my approach would be to show how diversity is really just anti-Whiteism. That’s how I'd bring White people around to my way of thinking. The next step would be to expose them to the racist rhetoric coming from other races. If they saw how much other groups hate them, it might wake them up to a collective identity, and they'd start caring about and acting in their own interests. Finally, I’d show White people the crime rates and resources being drained by other races, and how that’s eroding our culture. That would push them toward wanting segregation or, at the very least, expulsion of other races from their countries.
shareThat's a tall ask. For a sizeable chunk of white people it's the case that their feelings don't care about your facts.
shareI hear you, and I agree, but it's a long process. I don’t expect to convince people overnight. It takes a sustained, multi-year propaganda campaign to change the minds of normies. We know it’s possible because that’s exactly what the Wokes did. They’ve managed to brainwash a large chunk of the normies. If they could brainwash them, we can unbrainwash them by exposing them to counter-arguments.
shareAh yes, your solo venture of openly lying on a small movie forum to a bloc of mostly convinced reactionaries is of the same weight as the media presence of modern tv/film/music artists and media companies and social media influencers and activists.
Also not sure how effective counter-arguments can be if half of them are lies, easily discreditable as lies. Why would this, if not demonstrated, cause the opposite impact of what you're hoping? Did Jussie Smollett's little stunt do good or harm for progressives?
This site is my testing ground. It's where I refine my arguments and get exposed to counterpoints. It lets me gauge what resonates and what doesn’t, both from people who agree with me and those who don’t. I have a pool here — a microcosm of what's happening out there — where others like me are doing the same. These people influence larger voices, whether on livestreams or massive Twitter accounts, who then amplify the message to tens of thousands of people. Eventually, some of it seeps into the mainstream and becomes part of the broader conversation. I'm just one voice in the chorus, doing my part.
This is exactly what the Wokes did 15 years ago. Many of them started out ranting on Tumblr, and those lone voices ended up shaping an entire generation into woke retards. I, and others like me, can do the same. Maybe there’s someone on this site right now, reading what I’ve said, who resonates with it and blasts it out to their thousands of followers on Twitter. Young men especially are receptive to a right wing anti-woke message.
>This site is my testing ground. It's where I refine my arguments and get exposed to counterpoints.
You admit you have zero interest in arguing here.

Dude, most of the people here are likely banned from most other social media platforms, or act completely differently. You also take things that have already trended, and have stopped trending, and repeat them here days or weeks later. You regurgitate old news.

Most dishonest messaging is far more clever than what you do. Some of the things you post are completely on-the-nose, absurd or just memes. Or outright lies. Some of it never really trended in the first place.
I can't believe the narcissism imbued within you here that you seem to think you're on the cusp of becoming a big 'anti-woker' (more like woke right). And Tumblr, for what its worth was and is much more massive than moviechat.
And you did not answer my question: Did Jussie Smollett's little stunt do good or harm for progressives?
ZZZzzzzZZZ
shareSo as usual, you can't answer.
I thought you wanted discussion. Or was that another lie?
Just because I don't answer doesn't mean I can't answer. You have a nasty habit of twisting people's words, forcing them into your preconceived boxes so you can argue against them. But all of this is in your head. You’re not really listening to anyone — you don't truly see them. You’re constantly battling straw men that you create. I can’t tell if there's something neurologically wrong with you, or if you're just a dishonest piece of shit doing this on purpose. Either way, I have zero interest in wasting my time on you.
shareMy final question in that response by me was pretty pertinent. I didn't jump to any conclusions with it. It's not an embedded question. It's simple:
Did Jussie Smollett's little stunt do good or harm for progressives? You know what I'm referring to there, right?
The next step would be to expose them to the racist rhetoric coming from other races. If they saw how much other groups hate them
Same here. I also started off as a leftist. What really turned me against Black people and Wokes wasn’t any right-wing media or propaganda — it was being exposed to them on social media. Just seeing them for who they are made me realize how repulsive they are. That’s why the so-called 'propaganda' I push here is mainly just exposing people to the same things we saw. Maybe eventually it’ll sink in.
shareYou post AI images, memes and outright lies from Twitter. It's not seeing black people or 'wokes' as they are, but fabrications.
shareNo.
shareYes. Your post about the Irish guy arrested for opposing "LGBT propaganda" was an outright lie. You ended up conceding that it was and you just had no interest in checking it. You posted an AI generated video of a black kid. You posted a link about a church burning in France that you baselessly proposed was done by a muslim (turned out it wasn't).
This thread itself is a completely misrepresentation of the tweet you're sharing.
Knowing that millions of them are continually pouring into the west (with the help of leftists) is another eye opener. Basically, the majority of them (and their offspring) will be as hateful as the people we see on social media everyday.
shareThey would very obviously begin a campaign of mass slaughter given what they actually did.
And the clip that curiousmind linked does not say "LGBT people caused the Weimar republic to fail". That's just a laughable take.
