Why Do You Have A Politics Forum On A Movie Chat Site??

My name's BKB and this is my 1st post here and the reason I ask this is because I feel nothing good can come from any discussion of Politics on a movie website where clearly, people are divided with probably 98% of the site being Liberal, myself included, which I'm not and like I said, nothing good comes from this and what happens often is if you have a difference of opinion, say on Trump and it doesn't fit the Narrative of the posters on the site, you'll be banned for it and it's true because it's happened to me.. Anyway, it's just out of curiosity is all??

basically , the site had to give the minority of far right TrumpTwats a page of their own to prevent them stinking up the rest of the site. Since then more of their ilk have come to spread hate & misogyny as theres not that many sites they can get away with it on .

So on the politics page the split is probly now 50/50
and so a healthy , albeit extremlely polariazed political debat page now chuggs along happily

with such classicas as :
"NO!, You're a Nazi!"
"no , you are!"
"no , you are!"
"no , you are!"
"no , you are!"
"no , you are!"
"no , you are!"

or
"Trump bad "
"What about the other guy"

Um, I'm thinking both sides are bad and Biden has to go for the sake of the United States of America.. He's just flat out bad.. If they actually woukld bring back the "Moderate Centrist Democrat Party" I would vote that way like in the past when you could agree to disagree, vbut with the way the Progressive Left is in 2023, it's either you agree with us or you're against us mentality..

I think it was just in the interest of creating an exact duplicate of the old IMDb forums, for better or worse. One of the few advantages f|b has over this place is the option to exclude politics and the sandbox from one’s “new posts” feed. Wish such a feature could be included here.

I agree that it happens on other sites. The moderation staff takes a side on certain issues, and they moderate based on that. That is how you end up with a user base that is 98% on one side.

That doesn’t really happen here. The moderation in general is pretty low key, and they don’t delete based on wrong think. So we have a pretty good split on opinions here.

There are only 2 active mods, so they were bias, it would be pretty easy for them to affect this entire site. But I couldn’t even guess what their political affiliations are, and I’d like to keep it that way.

I already love this site and I've only been here 2 hours.. I used to be on Box Office Theory & World of KJ Index for years.. Box office theory banned me for supporting Trump at the time and because of that, they said they don't allow White Supremacist on their site and banned me.. Unreal.. LOL!!

The fact that you don’t see it means they are doing a good job. Moderators are like sport’s referees. When they are doing a good job, you don’t notice them. When they because the topic of conversation, it’s because they are messing up.

So that it doesn't happen elsewhere. What's wrong with political discussion? Maybe that's part of our problem as a nation and why we can't debate peacefully?

I also want to point that liberals love to talk about how uneducated and ignorant we are. However, I have never in my life communicated in long, run-on sentences broken up only by random commas. Just sayin'......

Better to have one than have it devolve into the movie section but then it already does that so yeah, I guess is there a reason for it? Any Woke movies will be called on on their respective film threads already. All the presidential names are listed independently too.
