Really depends where you’re asking people. On here people on the right side of the political spectrum seem pretty honest about it.

In person is a different story. In school, especially institutions of so-called “higher education” it would have a drastic impact on your grades so it best to keep quiet. At work it’s not appropriate to discuss politics, and if you’re not a lemming it’ll get your fired when one of them has a tantrum and complains to HR because you did use one of their proper 137 pronouns.

Around Democrat lemmings you’re likely to have them in your face screaming Nazi/Hitler yada yada so there’s really no point.

It’s not like you were going to have a well thought polite sharing of independent thoughts and new ideas anyways so why bother. If you want to know what a lemming thinks turn on ABCNNBCBS.

they've unfortunately poisoned their own brand. Q-anon, Neo-nazis, science deniers, anti vaccine nut jobs. im always wondering what version of conspiracy theorist/anti science nut job conservative im talking to when they say they are on the right.

A lot of conservatives are scared of losing their jobs because Regressivism has so much power these days. A lot of businesses don't want to suffer the wrath of the Progressive Left when one of their employees doesn't follow the groupthink. Either that, or the business is run by hostile Progressives and will root out and destroy any dissenters. A good example are tech companies in Silicon Valley. Many conservative programmers have had to stay very quiet and under the radar in order to keep being able to feed their families or pay their bills. Another example is in Hollyweird. There's a surprising number of conservatives working there that fake being woke, just so they won't lose the jobs they love. They'll pretend to support Democratic candidates, wear rainbow colors, and yell all the same slogans the bigwigs do, but in reality, they don't believe in any of it.

The problem is, the people conservatives originally counted on to stand up for them in the govt. betrayed them in the name of power and greed. Their original candidates can't be trusted anymore to uphold their values, and a lot of the conservative voters feel powerless as a result.

It is not a black and white thing.
You pay taxes right? and then the government uses that money to do stuff?
Then your country is partly Socialist.

I think liberals have been lied to so much, none of them have a clue what a conservative really is.

There aren't many true conservatives left in the Republican party anymore. I guess that's why.
