Styx adds a reasonable take to the Alex Jones ruling

reply

Yeah I see the verdict getting overturned. There's no way he'll be paying out that much money to those families.

reply

I watched this video earlier this morning...he is spot on. Each state has a limit to one can sue anyway. The verdict is far-left judge's virtue signal.

reply

how is this a left or right issue?

what would a right wing judge have done?

reply

Nothing ever goes as planned.

reply

It's funny to hear this whining always from the Right. Have you ever
met a judge? There are no far-Left judges, there are judges who take
their roles as judge and the Constitution seriously, and there are far-
Right Judges who are pushed through the system by the Right and its
money to counter the Constitution and the will of the people. We see
it constantly now in our corrupted by money system.

reply

It will be lowered significantly.

So when do the American people get to sue the entire Democrat party media that spread lies and misinformation for 6 years re:Trump and Covid and literally caused tens of thousands of deaths just to benefit their sponsors Pfizer?

At least with their negligence real damages can be proven.

reply

Big lie ring a bell?

reply

You jagoffs have been spewing lies about conservatives for years. We deal with it every day.

You're ignorant fools easily manipulated and used for the political gain of the corrupt establishment.

reply

Proud boy?

reply

Man of miracles

reply

Sorry, try again.

reply

Oath boy?

reply

Why do you have to assume that every conservative belongs to some group you love to demonize?

reply

Because you always sound angry and unhinged

reply

I never post angry, nor am I ever "unhinged". I do get tired of people constantly telling lies about conservatives. Case in point.

reply

Untrue
Your posts are curse laden rants that clearly fall in the "far right wingnut" scheme of things

reply

It is true. I never post angry. I've been at this for 25yrs, I don't get emotional responding to idiots. I'm just tired of your lies. You only characterize it as "angry and unhinged" because you're triggered by the truth, because your beliefs are based on lies.

"The liar's punishment is, not in the least that he is not believed, but that he cannot believe anyone else." — George Bernard Shaw

I call you a liar because you say things I know to be untrue. You call me a liar because you don't like what I say.

I believe in liberty and the constitution. Yet look at all the negative labels you throw at us.

reply

I've done no research whatsoever on this but it strongly smells like the work of a liberal judge trying to punish someone going against the narrative.

reply

I've done no research whatsoever

Typical of Trump supporters. Dumbass!

reply

Nope. The very idea that people can sue someone in the media for this is absolutely disgusting. This is the death of freedom of speech and you're applauding it.

reply

Show me where I applaud the death of freedom of speech. You can't because I've never said that. I believe in the First Amendment but free speach has consequences. This is something Alex Jones has learned. You supporting Jones proves you really are a dumbass.

reply

[deleted]

Then you’re insane and should send him your life savings to pay the fines

reply

Anyone who supports this verdict is celebrating the death of the 1st Amendment because it fits their political views.

Where did I say I supported Jones? Where did I say I even agreed with him? Unlike you, I support the freedom to say things I don't like. This is nothing more than a cash grab.

reply

I too support the freedom to say things I don't like or like. But as I said before free speech has consequences. Try saying "I have a bomb" on an airplane and see what happens. Alex Jones hurt other Americans with his lies and conspiracy theories. That's why he was sued and lost. Besides, what's wrong with supporting things that fit my political views? You do the same thing.

reply

I fail to see any circumstance where that is even possible. If you say you're the victim of a crime and I say, I don't believe you. What harm is done? This was a cash grab.

reply

Methinks someone needs a refresher course...Hope this helps!

Rockin’ in paradise

reply

I guarantee I've read more books written by the founding fathers than you have and I live with a history professor. But nice try (not really).

reply

1. Inciting kooks to terrorize grieving parents isn't freedom of speech.

2. Lying isn't freedom of speech.

I'm not surprised that you would defend your fellow cultists who were urinating on the graves of murdered 6-year-olds.

reply

Oh please. You're cool with inciting as long as the result fits your narrative.

Lying is freedom of speech, you do it here every day.

I'm not defending what he said. I'm defending his right to say it.

Unlike you assholes, I don't think dead children should be used as political pawns by either side.

reply

You are immoral to support terrorizing grieving parents whose young child was slaughtered by a gun nut.

Incitement to violence and terrorism are never legal.

Once again, you can't link to any "lies". You can't handle the truth.

reply

I support freedom of speech, even speech I don't like. Unlike you.

Democrats constantly incite violence, you seem to be okay with that.

EVERY POST you make contains lies. Not one or two, ALL OF THEM. Here's a link:

reply

No link to any lie because you can't find anything.

You're morally corrupt to believe it's fine to urinate on a 6-year-old's grave or send death threats to their grieving parents. Jones already admitted he intentionally lied so you're morally corrupt to support him!!

reply

Every post contains lies. I'd be hard pressed to find one that didn't.

Did Jones piss on a child's grave? Was that the basis for the lawsuit?

Lies are protected speech, else you'd be in jail.

And for the record, I never thought the Sandy Hook shooting was a hoax.

reply

You're projecting. The only liar is you.

Defamation isn't legal. Learn the law!

reply

Did you answer my questions? No.

Learn the definition of defamation.

"You're projecting. The only liar is you."

Good job on the Nazi propaganda tactics.

reply

Still no link to back up your libelous accusations.

Your evil hero Jones was found guilty of defamation to the tune of $1 billion dollars.

reply

You're the king of libelous accusations. You do it every day.

I've never listened to Jones.

reply

Still no link from you!

Stop repeatedly defending his vile defamation by calling it freedom of speech!!

reply

I'm sorry that you are an unapologetic fascist that hates free speech.

reply

Knowingly spreading lies about innocent people in order to profit by it from your subscribers (which was admitted to by Jones) who then threaten the lives and the livelihoods of innocent people is not protected by freedom of speech.

reply

And a billion dollar settlement is a punishment that does not fit the crime.

reply

Sure it does. Corporations get fined similar amounts for knowingly lying and endangering people.

reply

The lamestream media does it all day long. People are not corporations. Cash grab, nothing more.

reply

".... unless the context or a specially applicable definition requires otherwise: (5) Person" includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies.. "

Corporations and people are liable "persons" in the eyes of the law.

Sorry.

reply

You’re right
Ten years in jail is more appropriate

reply

Yeah, what if that billion dollar settlement and 10yrs in jail were for people slandering Rittenhouse? Different story then?

reply

The children of Sandy Hook were 1st graders, not porky pig parading round a riot with a gun

reply

Rockin’ in paradise.

reply

Yes, a billion dollars for never mentioning anyone specifically might make you surmise that the judge was a useless leftard. I guess no-one can comment on their beliefs about national events which end up impacting their lives. The narrative has been established about the great honorable George Floyd, anyone who suggests he was a drug addict is now forced to pay a billion dollars to a crackhead somewhere.

reply

Show me the way.

reply

I detest Alex Jones, but a billion dollars for words? Even words in the media ... seems a bit steep.
I am not sure what is really fair here, but it should be enough to keep Jones out of the media.
Jones certainly does not serve the public interest.

reply

You sure know how to pick loony bin sources! Anyone who supports Jones also has psychotic mental disorder.

reply

Exactly!

reply

Coming from one of the the most uneducated posters at mc. Bravo

Time for your 47th myocarditis shot yet?

reply

Agreed. The douchiness in that one is strong.

reply

i thought this was gonna be a new song by the band

reply

The grand illusion.
