Biden weighs sending thousands of troops to counter Russia

President Biden is considering sending a few thousand troops to Eastern Europe and the Baltic States as part of a broader NATO effort to bolster NATO allies that border Russia and Ukraine, given recent tensions, Fox News confirms.

Advisors presented Biden with various options to respond to Russia's aggressive stance in Eastern Europe in a Sunday briefing at Camp David. The president is considering sending 3,000-5,000 U.S. troops to Romania and to Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia as part of a broader NATO effort. Other NATO countries may also contribute troops to warn Russian President Vladimir Putin not to try to move into neighboring countries.

Are you ready for a war?

reply

No thank you.

reply

what ! are you some sort of commie!
If you dont stop Russia invading Ukraine thats one domino down!
and you know what happens when one domino falls - another one falls .
...and then dirty commies spread across the globe threatening the end of the world.

Now am I mistaken or is that not a core Amercan belief?
Isnt that why the US was in the Vietnam war?

reply

communism is already spreading in America, thanks to dementia Joe. thats why he is ok with a small invasion.

Ukraine is his red herring.

reply

The Ukraine is hardly a model for capitalism.

reply

Fuck all that. Since WWII we've been expected to be the world's police force. We've spent trillions of dollars and lost thousands of lives in that role and people hate us for it. This is a European problem, let them deal with it. No American lives should be lost for the Ukraine. The democrats would love a convenient war to deflect attention away from their countless other failures.

reply

I agree thats what the policy should be .
stay out of it

reply

You wouldn't know core American beliefs and values it they slapped you upside your empty leftist head.

reply

thats why i was asking,
Are you all still following that Domino theory that commies are taking over the world or has something changed ?

reply

Where did you ever get the idea that I was following that theory?

reply

not you specifically , that just seems to have been america's number one concern for the last few decades
"The spread of communism"

reply

I disagree. Americans have a lot of other issues on their minds, like the Democrats ruining our country.

reply

Communism is a failure. Regardless of Putin's dreams, modern Russian is a mere shadow of the former USSR. What we need to be concerned about is China. Which has Biden in its pocket.

reply

Communism is dead. The present threat isn't communism. Putin isn't communist. He's an oligarch.

Unfortunately, the new threat which Putin has been promoting is illiberal democracy aka: autocracy aka: soft fascism.

It looks like democracy on the surface, but democracy no longer exists. No free press, courts and all government institutions corrupted and controlled by the autocrat leader, political and media opponents charged with bogus crimes before being thrown in prison, private companies forced to pay leader millions, no human rights, persecution of scapegoated groups, no fair elections, no free speech, no demonstrations, no freedom of religion.

Russia, Hungary, Poland and Turkey morphed from democracies to autocracies.

The process is done from within by greedy, selfish elected leaders who slowly corrupt and change government institutions and exploit divisions, fear and hatred while enriching themselves.

I've heard Tucker Carson and a few GOP politicians say democracy doesn't work and should be replaced by a Hungarian-style autocracy. This Spring, CPAC is being held there in order to promote it.

Putin has been attempting to change other democracies into autocracies including France, the U.S. and the U.K..

Fight for democracy or lose it.

reply

Pure democracy doesn't work. Which is what you liberals have a hard time understanding. You think because you're a democrat, you want "democracy". Democracy is majority rules, the minority is shit out of luck, like it was in ancient Athens. We live in a constitutional republic, where measures are taken to protect the minority from the majority, where everyone has a voice.

reply

Autocracy is one person rules. Is that what you're advocating?

reply

I'd love to know where you learned English.

reply

Deflection doesn't work with me.

"autocracy:
a system of government by one person with absolute power."

Is this what you're supporting?

reply

thats the democrats, they have been trying to get rid of the Republicans for years.

reply

Incorrect, my thinking-challenged fellow poster.

"autocracy:
a system of government by one person with absolute power."

Examples:
Russia's Putin, Hungay's Viktor Mihály Orbán and Venezuela's Nicolás Maduro are autocrats.

The Founding Fathers created a system to deter autocracy which is the reason power is separated into three branches of government: the judicial (Supreme Court); legislative (Congress and Senate) and the executive (president).

No president has been able to do everything he wants because of the other two branches of government, therefore there is no autocracy in the United States. Yet.

reply

Where in any of my posts did I say that???

reply

"democracy doesn't work."

Autocrat Putin said the same thing. You and he support tyranny.

reply

There you go twisting words again. "Pure democracy" doesn't work. Did you read anything else I wrote? Obviously not. Do you know what "democracy" means? Obviously not. Just because everyone gets a vote, does not mean it's fair. That's why we're a constitutional republic, not a democracy. Basically the opposite of what you said is true. I do not support tyranny. By mere definition, you do. YOU support tyranny.

reply

You should be kicked out of the U.S. for failing basic civics.

From the U.S. government website. This agency, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration, administers tests to immigrants wishing to become citizens.

Your lack of knowledge is sad.

"The United States is a representative democracy and its people play an important role in the governing process."
https://www.uscis.gov/citizenship/civic-assimilation/resources-for-new-lawful-permanent-residents/about-the-united-states

BTW, republic only means "not monarchy". Even N. Korea and China are republics.

All countries have a constitution or set of laws.

You're too ignorant to know our country is respected as a democracy.

reply

Majority rule. You are to dimwitted too even understand the conversation.

Full Definition of democracy
1a: government by the people
especially : rule of the majority

reply

You're arguing just to argue.

USCIS has an informative civics guide to study. It's to help those taking the citizenship test, but anyone can read it. I suggest you take advantage of it since there's zero excuse not to know basic information about your own country.

reply

I wonder how Trump would've handled it. I know he sent Javelins to Ukraine (first time ever) so we know he wants to protect Ukraine. Maybe he'd do the same based on advisors. Either way, the ball is on Russia's court if they do invade. As usual, men and leaders putting everyone elses lives in jeopardy.

reply

Didn't Trump want the Ukrainian president to lie about Biden in exchange for military aid and equipment which had already been approved by Congress?

reply

Uhm no, he wanted him to tell the truth about him, dingus...

reply

You mean lie.

reply

Democrats care more about Ukraines border then their own.

No country in the world woild have this open border policy like America has.
It would completely change and country.

reply

Bingo!

reply

Remeber Biden, hunter and the shady Ukraine energy department deal?

Prosecutors in the Ukraine were bringing charges against Hunter.

So Biden went on tape saying you ain't getting no money unless the charges against my son are dropped. Fire that prosecutor

The threat was made and the charges were dropped. It turns out the Ukraine gov is corrupt and bought by the Bidens.

Russia now wants to invade Ukraine, take out the corrupt government and expose the Bidens illegals deals.

Biden will use the u.s. military to protect his family from being exposed.

reply

Pipsqueak Putin is attempting to push Europe and the U.S. around. Let him have Ukraine and he'll take other countries next. He's trying to create a new Russian Empire.

Europe and the United States need to push him back hard.

reply

Russia doesn't have the money, technology, infrastructure, manufacturing or the will to do all that. This ain't the 1980's USSR.

reply

They did when W was in office...

reply

No they didn't. Russia is a shadow of its former self.

reply

And as a shadow of its former self they've annexed Crimea, subdued Georgia, helping Syria, assisted Belarus, battling Ukraine, and helped Kazakhstan.

reply

A very brief history lesson, every single time Russia has gone into Ukraine, Poland is always the next target.

reply

You're onto something. I notice that Poland is very involved with ongoing talks.

reply

And the liberal media and the left will be all for it

....until they start talking about re-enacting the draft.

reply

I knew I'd die in Kiev.

reply

Perhaps America should let Europe take the lead on this one. It is their backyard after all.

reply

If European countries fall one by one, it becomes our problem. Like Hitler. Nip it in the bud now!

Anyway, we're in NATO. One for all and all for one!!!!!

reply

Chicken hawk war monger.

reply

You don't know my military history.

Putin is starting this war. You want the U.S. on its knees instead of standing up to tyranny. You are a coward.

reply

If it was Trump dragging us into a conflict you and the assholes like you would be throwing a fit and you know it.

Meanwhile the southern US border is being flooded by god knows what from all over the world. Jihadists among them no doubt.

reply

Wouldn't happen.

1. Trump is a 3x draft dodger and kiss-up to Putin.

2. He also committed an extortion attempt against the Ukrainian president to lie in exchange for military arms and money which Congress had already appropriated. He was impeached for that.

3. If you didn't hate Hispanics, you wouldn't be triggered so easily by Fox news xenophobic propaganda.

reply

"Wouldn't happen"

Thanks for that. And if feeble minded Joe's military blunders cost even more American lives you can kiss the Democrat Party goodbye for a long long time.

1. Funny how it was OK for Clinton to avoid the draft.

2. Typical liberal media lies.

3. Are you denying that the southern border is practically open to all? Really? You have your head that far up your ass??? LOL

reply

1. Clinton was an conscientious objector which is fine. Trump was a draft dodger who lied about spur heels. BTW, his grandfather was a draft dodger, also. Germany refused to allow him to return because of it.

2. Actually Trump's extortion attempt was recorded and yo can read the transcript. Trump also admitted it.

3. Not possible since Trump built a wall in which Mexico paid.

reply

1.Distinction without a difference,
.
2. Bullshit.

3. That's your argument? There's a wall? There's no wall you shit for brains. Congress blocked it.

reply

1. There is a difference. I have no issue with anyone who is morally against a war like Clinton or Muhammad Ali. Trump, like his grandfather, was a coward who lied. That son of a b***** also referred to our war dead as suckers and losers. Stop defending that bastard!

2. Trump's second impeachment. Second! You have loyalty to a crooked politician over your own country. What is wrong with you?

3. That's your argument? Congress was Republican-controlled for two years! You're too stupid to know that they never intended to build any wall, dummy!

reply

1. We know Trump (unlike the current president and --- suddenly --- the lunatic left) is morally against war.
The claim that he said that is a lie.

2. The mentally ill Shiff and liberal media had to twisted the meanings of single words to make their accusatione. Ever hear what Shiff claimed was said vs. what was actually said?.

3. So you admit there's an invasion afterall and the lack of a wall is to blame. Thank you

reply

1.
Trump is a 3x draft dodger.

2.
"In a Friday interview on "Fox & Friends," President Donald Trump admitted to holding up military aid to Ukraine to pressure the government to investigate a baseless conspiracy theory about Ukrainian election interference and Democratic collusion.

In other words, Trump acknowledged doing the very thing he has repeatedly denied and could be impeached for."
https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-admits-to-ukraine-military-aid-quid-pro-quo-tv-2019-11

3.
Trump broke his "building a wall and Mexico is paying for it" campaign promise to his xenophobic cult. Defend that!

reply

1. That's the dumbest claim ever. Which 3 wars did he dodge the draft from? LOL

Seriously, I remember how draft dodgers had to flee to Canada and I remember that almost the first ---if not the first --- thing Carter did when he entered office as to pardon all of them. Yet now you claim Trump did it 3 times without any consequences.

Besides, Trump was a Democrat, he voted for Bill Clinton both times and probably for Kerry and maybe even voted for B.O. the one time. Just like most other celebrities he bashed Bush Jr. relentlessly (that's why so many including myself didn't trust him early on).

Don't all Democrats get a pass when it comes to draft dodging? Yes. From the left.

2. "Baseless conspiracy theory"? There's conclusive evidence Hunter Biden collected millions selling influence for his old man. In Ukraine, Russia, China and who knows where else.

Just because the liberal media covered it up doesn't mean it didn't happen.

3. I don't know how he planned to make Mexico pay. Probably by tariffs. Who the fuck cares now? Look at the millions invading our country now thanks to Biden. But keep dwelling on Trump. Moron.
