Here is my list of films (in alphabetical order) that won best picture, but didn't deserve it, in my opinion:

The Sting

The Sting and Titanic greatly deserved to win.

I know it's silly to respond to an old thread but I'll defend Hurt Locker winning. I admit I haven't seen it in years but it was an important movie that showed the disturbing things our troops had to deal with in Iraq. I'd much rather rewatch it than the overrated Avatar which was just a sci fi version of older better films.
