First an un educated answer - that's the wrong question. People can suffer re percussions from an incident, and not suffer them on the day of the incident.

To be honest, in Aliens, Newt slept under the bed. Star Wars Ep 2 was 25 years after that (although a long, long time ago) so you would have thought that at the very least Padme would have slept in the spare bedroom (I'm sure her apartment had one, even though as we know, space is at a premium on Coruscant).

Thank you. I have to say, that was beautiful. I wasn't expecting this, but having seen it, I didn't realise that I didn't know. 2 months ago was a long time ago, a real long time ago. I think I mentioned this movie in another comment somewhere, but, for some crazy reason, decided to give it it's own review. I know, f##king bonkers mate. But, this is the world we live in.

tbh I was thinking it was rather the scriptwriters thought it would be funny (which it sort of was if you didn't realise they were being attacked by aliens -- which they weren't because the script writers were sitting around a desk in a room in a building in tinseltown somewhere that <i>wasn't</i> being attacked by aliens), rather than the script writers realising that under the circumstances, being kidnapped by aliens wasn't such a far out idea.
