Granted.
I wouldn’t like forced Christian messaging either, although I will say that there is often a Christian morality underpinning lots of Western movies. Hell, Man On Fire has plenty of ‘lost sheep’ analogies and Old Testament vengeance going on.
Christianity is woven into Western Civilisation and so, although I’m not religious, I give it a measure of respect, whereas Wokism is a parasitic mind virus that is destroying the West and must be cut out, and if Christian filmmakers are doing their bit to combat Woke… they have my full support.
Too late for that now anyway, Denzel’s 70 and he’s 20 years older than he was in MOF.
Equalizer was basically a way to resurrect Creasy because audiences loved seeing Denzel administer gunishment, it’s very fitting to reunite him with Dakota.
Actually it would be great if she was going out with a Mexican or black guy so she can show off to her SJW friends how she dates minorities, then her diverse boyfriend beats her up and kidnaps her, and Denzel has to go fetch!
He also kills the main villain with a self administered butt-bomb in the original ending, I’m not sure suicide bombing is a ‘Christian’ practice.
I said that Denzel and Fuqua were Christian, not that their films push a Christian message (and they don’t).
Christians are usually inoculated against Woke, that’s why it’s relevant here.
If cramming your anus with C4 and blowing yourself up, taking out a crime lord, is giving the Mexicans a taste of their own medicine then… yes.
Just got done rewatching Man On Fire and was kinda gutted we got no more Creasy films, and never got to see Pita grow up with Uncle Creasy-Bear.
Incredible then to discover Denzel is making a third Equalizer and he’s reteaming with Dakota Fanning!
Hopefully they won’t make it shit and woke by having her be a badass who teaches Denzel a thing or two. With Fuqua directing and Denzel starring I think that’s extremely unlikely, these are good Christian guys with no time for woke BS. I was impressed with Denzel lecturing some black kid to stop blaming ‘white people’ in Eq2 👏🏻
My hope is that Dakota will either befriend Denzel or they’ll already be pals, she gets captured and he has to go fetch, shredding fools along the way.

Creasy could've shoved a timed charger up his butt to take out the mooks.

That’s exactly what happens in the alternate ending.
His character was straight (and homophobic) in Philadelphia.
Right? And not only that, Kobayashi tells Keaton he is being punished for unknowingly interfering with a Soze shipment in 1981.
If we assume Soze is 35, that means he was an established crime lord aged 20, which means he must have been about 12 when he shot his wife and kids, and went on his infamous murder rampage.
Granted that the other characters who mention Soze do not discuss his country of origin, only Verbal does, but Soze’s name is telling. From iMDB trivia:
Clues pointing to Keyser Söze's identity are given in the character's name. Söze resembles the Turkish word sözel, meaning "verbal". The name "Keyser" which resembles the pronunciation of the German word "Kaiser" meaning emperor or king.
Plus Soze holds his cigarette in the Hungarian style when nobody’s watching.
Verbal is Soze, and he has Turkish roots.

What?
If there’s an unsolved murder and you’re on tape confessing to it, with all the evidence supporting that you were present and a likely suspect, in a police station no less… then I fail to see how that couldn’t be incriminating and therefore usable as leverage by an agent trying to squeeze you.
What point?
Guff article, no content.
I suspect Myers was wounded by the epic failure of Love Guru.
It’s weird that he hasn’t felt able to launch another iconic character. I think a small project where he basically plays himself (as in So I Married An Axe Murderer) and maybe a couple extra characters would be a nice comeback.
Wouldn’t he be better off obeying Soze? Refusing to cooperate with him earns him a bullet in the head.
And why is Verbal confessing to cold blooded murder?
I find it hard to believe that the justice system would allow a career criminal to outright confess to an unsolved murder in a police station, recorded onto tape no less, and nothing comes of it. I doubt ‘immunity’ grants you the freedom to commit murder.
Yes, Agent Kujan has a boner for Keaton but he’s also looking for ways to squeeze Verbal. You’d think he’d have something to say about the murder and would use the confession as major leverage against Verbal.
How is it not trolling? What would you describe it as?
No. Ockham’s razor - Verbal is Soze. Postlethwaite is a chief underling of his who is chauffeuring him at the end.
It was a Rasmussen poll, one of the leading polling companies, they asked people of all races across the nation via telephone and online.
