Just got done rewatching Man On Fire and was kinda gutted we got no more Creasy films, and never got to see Pita grow up with Uncle Creasy-Bear.

Incredible then to discover Denzel is making a third Equalizer and he’s reteaming with Dakota Fanning!

Hopefully they won’t make it shit and woke by having her be a badass who teaches Denzel a thing or two. With Fuqua directing and Denzel starring I think that’s extremely unlikely, these are good Christian guys with no time for woke BS. I was impressed with Denzel lecturing some black kid to stop blaming ‘white people’ in Eq2 👏🏻

My hope is that Dakota will either befriend Denzel or they’ll already be pals, she gets captured and he has to go fetch, shredding fools along the way.

I don't know what Christian has to do with a movie being good. In my opinion, I don't want any woke or religious aspects pushed on me when I'm watching a movie. No double standards.

reply

I said that Denzel and Fuqua were Christian, not that their films push a Christian message (and they don’t).

Christians are usually inoculated against Woke, that’s why it’s relevant here.

reply

I thought your comment was pretty clear. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

reply

I knew what you meant, I was just stating that I don't like religion pushed on me, that's all. Bringing up peoples religion in a movie forum might do that.

reply

I wouldn’t like forced Christian messaging either, although I will say that there is often a Christian morality underpinning lots of Western movies. Hell, Man On Fire has plenty of ‘lost sheep’ analogies and Old Testament vengeance going on.

Christianity is woven into Western Civilisation and so, although I’m not religious, I give it a measure of respect, whereas Wokism is a parasitic mind virus that is destroying the West and must be cut out, and if Christian filmmakers are doing their bit to combat Woke… they have my full support.

I agree 100% on your stance on the woke movement. It has gotten so out of control that even Bill Maher is speaking against it.

reply

Yep, Maher is making slow but steady progress in that department. He still hasn’t realised that voting Dem will increase Woke and that Trump is the best antidote. Hopefully he’ll get there before he croaks.

reply

The only Creasy films that we'd get would have to be prequels as he died in the car at the end of the movie.

reply

Too late for that now anyway, Denzel’s 70 and he’s 20 years older than he was in MOF.

Equalizer was basically a way to resurrect Creasy because audiences loved seeing Denzel administer gunishment, it’s very fitting to reunite him with Dakota.

Actually it would be great if she was going out with a Mexican or black guy so she can show off to her SJW friends how she dates minorities, then her diverse boyfriend beats her up and kidnaps her, and Denzel has to go fetch!

reply

It's never too late in this day and age in Hollywood. Not with all the de-aging technology we got. And it keeps getting better every day.

reply

Yeah but then you get De Niro’s stomping scene in The Irishman 🤦🏻‍♂️

Denzel was already creaking in Eq2, it wasn’t too noticeable because Geriaction has become an acceptable genre ever since Old Man Neeson needed to punish some Arabs. I think Denzel can get away with one more Equalizer, but I don’t want to see some de-aged old coot thumping Mexicans.
