He does mention something along the lines of, “I know, it’s cold down here…” That just might be it. LessThanZero87 is ShitakiMushroom. Troll harder next time kid. Just discovered the film thanks to IMDB, it’s on prime and Tubi, fuckin’ A! I’ll give you the kid’s scene, but that opening scene was hard to watch imo. The films opens with a close up of some dude getting his throat cut with a rusty, dull blade. Fuckin’ A! But it’s a catch-22! I’m dumbfounded that this is a real song. It wasn’t on Coppola it was the investors and production who were at fault, “we need a hot young stud to go along with our sexy female lead…”, Coppola wanted Depp for the part initially but “production” didn’t feel like he had enough star power yet. See: https://screenrant.com/dracula-1992-jonathan-harker-actors-almost-cast-keanu-reeves/ Damon is a talented dude, have a little faith. And certain big-time actors like Bale are probably being played close to the chest, maybe not even included in the initial casting similarly to Damon’s inclusion in Interstellar or Oldman in Hannibal. Agreed, De Niro has been phoning it in for nearly two decades now. Reliability and flexibility is definitely a plus in an industry over flowing with entitled divas. Instincts, sometimes you get a feeling, and some people are very in tune with reading the room while others are completely oblivious. Her instincts combined with the one dudes warning were more than enough. Women especially have to fine tune these instincts, for all of the obvious reasons. This character was clearly in touch with trusting her gut and knew what the score was. There was a woman who went on a date with Ted Bundy, and just had this feeling that he was going to do her harm, she politely excused herself from the table and left the restaurant and called a friend from a pay phone to pick her up. These types of things do happen. He’s a solid character actor and has that thing that all character actors require, the look of someone that could be your friend, neighbor, boss, bf/gf, serial killer, brother, uncle, food-server, whatever the role may be…. unconventionally, mildly handsome/photogenic, but could also pull unattractive too if need be. He has that everyman look and his niche of being obese in his early years helped him land parts too. I enjoy his work personally. “ …but Spielberg decided to turned him down because he felt Beatty couldn't disguise his accent.…” And he went with Liam Neeson instead?!?, Neeson, whose ability to hide an accent is on par with Arnold Schwarzenegger…, that’s hilarious! I’m a fan of Neeson btw and loved his work in Schindler's List, but c’mon Spielberg, I think that accent bit was just a way of saying, you’re too much of a star Beatty and I need something else to add to that to turn you away. Awesome list btw! I’m with you, it’s non fucking stop, I have to look at this BS on the main page, these posters are sicko, weirdo, creeps. Fair point, “he’s grown young!” my ass, the two versions looked nothing alike, I mean we could quibble that one was a one-hundred year old version of the other, but certainly not an instant double take, that’s the same dude level of recognition. I’m hopeful, Mel hasn’t directed a lemon yet. lol, I hope you’re wrong too. Nope, he did it because he wanted to make a fun-type action flick, “a pleasant distraction-type film,” to give people a chance to turn off from the stress of life and enjoy something…. Paraphrased from a recent interview, this was given after his house burned to the ground btw.
