In what way is it delusional? Serious question: What is with your Caps Lock? Is your Caps Lock button broken? Perhaps a new keyboard might be a good investment. Well, since Hollywood has been taken over by woke retards, and it is having a detrimental effect on movies and TV shows, by catering to a small minority of woke degenerates and forcing it on the rest of us who don't want it, it makes perfect sense that this would be a frequent topic of discussion within a community like this. And that is a good thing. Not true, people like him make this site better. We don't need this place to turn into an echo chamber. There should be people from all ideologies expressing their views and battling it out with each other. If this site turned into a safe space for woke dunderheads, then I would leave the site, and on the flip side, if it became a Nazi echo chamber where you just have genuine racists talking to each other, I would also leave. Having a battle of ideas is why I stay on this website. Also, it has been relatively good on the free speech front. Certainly better than, Yahoo, YouTube, or Twitter. Here at least, I'm allowed to get a little spicy, even use racial slurs, which can be fun depending on the context. So far I have only had a few posts removed because they were considered to encourage violence or self harm. I don't agree with the decision, because in both cases I was clearly being facetious and over the top, but I do understand that mods sometimes like to play it safe when it comes to that kind of thing. I think this site is pretty good, and users like Drooch make it better. No, I prefer being able to criticize a woke movie/tv show on the thread dedicated to the actual show/movie. It is a good way to let people know whether there is wokness in the show/movie so that they know what they are getting into. Having said that, it doesn't mean that we can't also have a thread dedicated to wokeness in general. Beach Boys are dope as fuck. Pet Sounds was an incredible album. God Only Knows is such a beautiful song. I wouldn't snitch on my friends or family no matter what they have done, even murder (depending on the circumstances). The only thing that would make me break my loyalty would be if the person was a rapist or is abusing someone. As for murder, if the person is like a serial killer that kills innocent people, I would turn them in. If however they gave me a good reason for murdering someone, and the person had it coming, I would not snitch. The only other reason I might call the cops on a family member is if they were being violent towards me, and I wouldn't be able to solve the issue by fighting them. For example, if my girlfriend or wife was physically assaulting me and I wouldn't be able to fight back, I might call the cops depending on the circumstances. Sometimes it's also useful to call the cops to get a certain incident on record. This could be very important if you ever have to go to court. I have personally called the cops on my step father when I was very young (12 years old), because he was being violent. I refused to tolerate abuse from my parents. On the other hand, I had friends who've committed some very serious crimes, and it has never once crossed my mind to snitch on them. And finally, there is snitching to save yourself. Like for example you do something criminal with your friend, you get arrested, and the cops try to convince you to snitch in order to avoid jail/prison. I was in a situation like that once and neither me or my friend snitched. We held out strong, even though we both were facing a short amount of jail time. However, If it was a situation where I was facing years, like a decade or more, I don't know how strong I would be. I guess it would have to depend on who the friend is. If the friend was like my brother, who would do anything for me, and I for them, I might stay strong. But you can't really know until you're put in that situation. No. Life would not be worth living to me without eating meat. And I choose to eat them. They are tasty. The only ethical problem with eating animals should be to reduce their suffering. They don't deserve to be treated so horribly by the meat industry. Killing animals is justified, and arguably a better deal for the animal, than getting old and sick. A quick bolt to the head, is a nice way to go. I only wish that I will be allowed to be put down when I'm old and sick and don't want to live anymore and suffer. This is why I'm a huge proponent of euthanasia. The bar should be really high before you nuke somebody's account or even individual posts. The mods should lean towards free speech. Even violent posts and threats should only be taken down if they are directed towards an individual poster and are serious. You shouldn't have your post taken down for trolling someone and saying over the top things like that they should be hit by a bus or something. Only if you say something like "I'm coming for you", "I know where you live", or "I'm going to do something to you" etc. should be considered crossing the line. Also spam and advertisements should obviously be taken down; We don't need that stuff polluting this fine website. Zing! Why, so we can create an echo chamber of a bunch of oversensitive woke dunderheads? Nope. This website would fail if it gives in to the censorious woke mob. Why you being hostile bro? Excellent comment. Couldn't have said it better myself. I think this website is great. Criticizing the woke disease that is spreading throughout our culture is not trolling. Wokies perceive any and every criticism as trolling. They think that their ideology is above reproach; To them it's the only permissible world view, and like the religious zealots that they are, they refuse to entertain the notion that someone with a different point of view might have a legitimate critique. Likewise, I agree that there are a great many illiterate rеtаrdѕ who frequently butcher the English language on this forum, however, it doesn't bother me as much as others; Slaying rеtаrdѕ on the internet for sport is an enjoyable past time for me. Wokeness poisons everything. Another language policing Wokie imposing his puritanical ideology onto the rest of us. You sound like the kind of woke Dunderhead that would ban the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn because it has a character named Ν***gеrJim. [Edited by Mod 5] We also don't need faster than light travel, we just need wormholes (Einstein–Rosen bridge). Then we can travel anywhere instantly. Some scientists at a Google lab actually created a microscopic one and sent a particle through it as a proof of concept. We need a a Warp drive. Then the Vulcans will come to visit us and share their dope tech with us. Right time and place. You got to understand that most of the the great guitar stuff came after him, in fact he was the inspiration for a lot of it. After him, in the 70's, you had a new way of playing, and the rise of guitar gods like Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, and later Van Halen. It's not that he was technically a great player, but he was innovative. He is actually associated with creating the signature electric guitar sound — that distorted sound that became a staple of all rock music after the 60's. He was an inspiration to Clapton. Clapton was considered kind of a proto guitar god in the 60's. When Clapton saw Hendrix play he was blown away. He incorporated some of his sound. Of course later Clapton changed his style completely and had a gentle bluesy type of sound. I don't like the live version, but the studio version is pretty dope. I remember about 15 years ago I recorded a cover of it. I played all the parts, even the drums, and I'm not a drummer (Piano and Guitar only). It took me 2 months to learn how to play it on drums. I loved playing the solos. Played them to perfection, just like Hendrix. There is a part where he does slide guitar with an echo effect, I read in a book that he was playing slide guitar with a Zippo lighter when he recorded it, so when I recorded it I did all the slide parts with lit Zippo. LOL. Yeah I got you. I think the best cover of a song was Jimi Hedrix covering Bob Dylan's 'All Along the Watchtower'. The original song was just kind of meh, and Hendrix turned it into one of the greatest songs ever. But I don't know if that is your kind of music. One that you might like is A-Ha's unplugged version of their song 'Take on Me'. I don't know if that is the kind of twist you're looking for, and it's the same band, but the original was just a fun 80's type of song, and the unplugged is just hauntingly beautiful. Kind of makes you want to cry. Original https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djV11Xbc914 Unplugged https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xKM3mGt2pE
