Oh no, please no... I would have to look that up. Ok another argument: Trevorrow was smart enough, to not destroy the OG cast in Dominion. Maybe ... he would have been able to not destroy luke, leia and han any further (what was left of them). Do humans harm dinosaurs? Yes, it is a very rare occasion and most of it, is more like stepping on someones foot. Do dinosaurs die? Yes. I remember 2. But IMO, there was no suspense, no tension and no buildup. The camera never really stays there. If you expect a proper/prolonged fight between dino vs dino or dino vs human, look somewhere else. Overall it is a extremely tame movie. You could expect something else, with dinosaurs all over the world... This is one of the super rare occasion, where i agree with the "experts". This movie is called the epic finale to the whole saga. Therefore i judge it that way and Jurassic Park was never just a "popcorn movie". You can divide the audience into 2 camps. A: You expect a well written and crafted movie like JP. You watch it with your brain turned on. In that case you will be very disappointed. B: You just want to see the whole cast again + some dinosaurs. The what and why's are not important to you. You treat it like a popcorn movie = you leave your brain at home. In that case: You will like or love it. In the end, its about your expectations. Good question. I would say it would have been better, just for the fact: no palpatine. I fear people will watch it regardless. The old cast + "Baby Blue" will be enough for many people. And with the exception of Top Gun, there is not that much high profile competition. Well, Trevorrow wants to tell the world, that this movie is the epic finale of the saga. In reality, it is the sequel to FK + the old cast. Thanks for the info. WOW. The 40s are pretty spot on i would say. If you want to judge the movie, i can give you the following hints: - You want to see your favourite characters again. The way they interact with each other is enough for you. And you like dinosaurs, just looking at them makes you happy. This movie is for you! (10/10) - You know, it is most likely a dumb blockbuster movie about dinosaurs. Your brain is on standby. You want to see your favourite characters again. The way they interact with each other is enough for you. You will like the movie (8/10) but you will lower that rating down to a 6 or 7, when you watch that movie later on tv. - You like to involve your brain into you daily activites. You expect a well written and structured movie. Great characters all around. A movie with a great setup, memorable scenes and great quotes. Some dread, tension, some horror would not hurt and a great finale is expected. Well, this movie is a (4/10). You might be forced to wear a helmet for the next 2 weeks, to prevent you brain from running away. It is not. Thanks for the kind words. I can not comprehend, how these movies can exist. And i struggle to understand how anybody can rate these movies 10/10. Just to single out 1 issue - the stupidity in these movies: - Jurassic world: How is it possible, that passengers can control the gyrospheres? I bet someone would have tried to run a dinosaur over. - Fallen Kingdom: The "point laser at target - dinosaur kill" thing. If you can point a laser at somebody, you can also use a gun! - Dominion: Drum roll please... THE LASER RETURNS. HOW??? I can't... Who writes that **** and thinks "Oh yeah! Thats some good stuff" Well, i would say there are 2 camps: - I just want to see the old gang, talking to each other(i don't care about why) + the occasional dinosaur: 10/10 - I want something smart and well written. A proper buildup, bad guys you can take serious, some tension/horror, one or two memorable deaths and a satisfying ending: Run! Run and never return!
