how bad would Duel of The Fates have been?

up till now everyone seemed to think CTs version of Ep 9 wouldve been superior to JJs

but if he s**t the bed so bad with JW:D would his Ep9 have been even worse?

Good question. I would say it would have been better, just for the fact: no palpatine.

Ok another argument: Trevorrow was smart enough, to not destroy the OG cast in Dominion. Maybe ... he would have been able to not destroy luke, leia and han any further (what was left of them).

And yet more people forget that some of the content from TROS was taken directly from TFA artbook such as the sunken Death Star where main characters are to go travelling to it.

easy to rewrite it so Leia wasnt such a prominant figure. just a few CGI scenes like TROS

think the main reason he was let go was bc Disney was concerned about his take on Ep9 being too close/referential to TLJ. they wanted a sequel to TFA (hence JJ brought back). also there was something about a movie hed done just prior that had been really bad but idk if that wouldve been an issue

Disney (Iger) wanted JJ , Lucasfilm (Kennedy) wanted Johnson , it all became unfixable mess in the end.

There were rumours he was let go because he didn’t want Luke killed off in The Last Jedi.

Having read the synopsis for Duel of the Fates I think it sounds so much better than The Rise of Skywalker.

No resurrected Palpatine, no redemption for Kylo Ren, no Rey being related to anybody. Heck you have Luke still alive and recast Leia (sorry Carrie but Leia is too important to the story to not recast) then I think they’d have had a pretty good ending to the saga there.

Jurassic World Dominion is awful though. I think Trevorrow did everything he wanted to do with a Jurassic film with Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom and Dominion he just did for the money.
