Bravo sir! This film speaks to me also. The scene where Peter enters the bedroom and you see the images around the room, and the very quiet pirate-type sounds that seem to emanate all around the grown-up Peter as he shivers in the room took me back to my own childhood, and I am not ashamed to say that that scene and the one where Peter first sees Granny Wendy again brings a lump in my throat and a happy tear in my eye.. Whatever your age, go your own route. Follow Robert Frost's poem "The Road Less Travelled" To the OP: You feel you are supposed to like them? Nonsense! You have a right to DISLIKE even HATE them like someone else has a right to LOVE them. You seem like a young person who feels that he/she has to go with the crowd because they like something. Be who you are. Have the courage to say you don't like something when you don't. Worried that someone might not like you if you dislike something they like? Well, maybe you don't need to be friends with someone like that. The thing is "tip" in its purest form means "To Insure Promptness". It should NOT be mandatory, especially if you don't think that the service warranted a tip. Tips have always been expected but should not be mandatory. Another point for tipping is that many restaurants require their servers to pool tips and split it evenly between the staff. I feel that this is unfair to the really good servers as the poor ones who don't work as hard for them get more than they deserve. For me Batman (1989) ... but for me all the 80s-90s Batman films pale in comparison to Christopher Nolan's trilogy IMO, A better plane thriller would have to be "Executive Decision" starring Kurt Russell or "Air Force One" with Harrison Ford And that was a better film than this one, but it is not Liam Neeson's fault. Of course, as the OP probably knows, there are just so many plots that can be done. And every "new" film will have some other film to be compared to. My wife and I joke about the fact that in TV series and sitcoms there must a master book that gets past around from studio to studio that has all plotlines in it. "What do we film this week?" "Let's consult the book" Of course, it was written that way. Loved him in "The Shadow", "Clue" and "Oscar". I enjoyed "Rocky Horror" but I thought the actor playing Riff Raff was better than he was. Aliens Most of the time, yes. But Lobo has made it tough on Superman. LOL! Too bad. Too bad that you don't like the film. It's your right to feel any way about anything. But I find it amusing that because a movie has aged, some people consider it in no longer relevant. Movies do age ... Like fine wine. This film has lost none of it's punch from when I saw it in the theater all those years ago. It's possible that most women could care less about "superhero movies". Most of those women prefer intelligent films that do not feature explosions, gun fights and car chases. Notice that I said "most women". What about Annihilation? What I like about going to the movies is that you can pick and choose what you want to watch. Like television, if you don't like what you're watching, you can change the channel. So, instead of complaining about the production of movies you don't want to see, pick something else. Complaining about something you cannot change is a pointless endeavor. I agree with the OP that it could very well have been foreshadowing. But, I always took it that in the haste to buckle in, Grant accidentally grabbed the wrong buckle from the seat next to him. The seat could have been designed for four passengers and there were only three on that seat at the time, Grant, Ellie and Mr. Hammond, with the "bloodsucking lawyer and Ian Malcolm sitting across from them. Yes definitely! D'onofrio would make a great Luthor. Look what he did with Kingpin! He made me forget Michael Clark Duncan, and I like MCD? I don't think so. I think he met up with someone as powerful as he is. Remember what Lobo has done to Superman. And obviously, DOOMSDAY!
