Yup, though Octopussy was one of the lesser Moore films. It bordered on slapstick comedy.
Aaron gets a bad rap. I don't understand all the hate he gets. I have seen him in several films, and when he has to, he hides his English accent very well.
I can understand why some people think he is a wooden actor, but then again, like for instance, in Godzilla (2014), let's realize that that film was not made for a lot of great human dialogue (although Ken Watanabe did have the best lines), just monster-on-monster action. So Aaron was not given any truly complex dialogue to work with.
As to Idris Elba, he is, in my estimation, a great actor. Just not sure how an African-American actor would work as Bond. Look what happened when they made a movie about a historical white queen but cast Jodie Turner-Smith in the role. There was a massive outrage and outcry against the film.
Don't forget "Live and Let Die", his first Bond adventure.
You are right about it being a pane of glass. I watched a snippet on Youtube after I came on here, and it did look like a pane of glass, but it didn't shatter when it hit Warner's character and then through the window behind him.
Interesting! I am aware of Franco's "work" (and I use the term loosely - I was never a fan. He was like a version of Ed Wood to me. His version of "Count Dracula" starring Christopher Lee was an abysmal mess, and yet Lee was quoted as saying that Franco's vision of the story was the closest to the book that he had ever seen)
So, I still think that those entries were pranks played on us by some hacker, or maybe even someone working in IMdB who wanted to have a little fun.
Before these "movies" popped up on IMdB, I had never heard of Miles Jonn-Dalton. And yet he is being called an actor harkening back to the "Golden Age Of Hollywood"?
You could be right about the spoof-like homage.
I would have thought, had it happened on April 1st, that it was an April Fools prank, but these entries were on the page long before that date.
His era was before you, but with modern technology, it wouldn't be too hard to familiarize yourself with his movies. Not saying you have to, but it's there if you are curious.
I think he is a chess champion who is bitching about losing a match and it went viral. I could be mistaken, but that's what I have seen on the internet.
So, what happened to all of these movies? For a while there were several "scheduled" to be released in March and April, and now, they have all but disappeared from the IMdB schedule.
I think it was a prank perpetrated by hackers.
For me, there will be no Bond better than Sean Connery.
Many of them don't think very highly of us either.
So, considering how Bond died in the last film, how do you see him surviving a huge explosion?
I agree with you
You don't like it. That's fine.
But why waste your energy complaining about movies you don't like and just go watch something else?
Last year, there were over 500 movies released world wide, if not more. Superhero films were actually a very very small percentage of studio output.
Okay
I agree. Who thought it would be a good idea to have her share the photo with her co-star. That's harkening back to the days when it was thought that a woman could not survive or even function without a man. It's dumb ... And I am a guy!
I actually like Michelle Yeoh. Have followed her career before and after "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", and thought if she won an Oscar, it would have been for that film. After all, the film did win for best foreign film.
My wife and I stopped watching awards shows after they became basically 2-to-3-hour political rants interrupted by commercials and an occasional snippet of a movie or a song.
But I agree with you. "Everything, Everywhere All At Once" was a cluttered mess, as far as I was concerned. Another one of those politically motivated awards because of prevailing social influences.
I wish the Academy would not bow to pressure and vote for the actual BEST performances. The landscape of the Oscars would be duly credited again as it has been in the past.
I am sure Keanu doesn't care what someone on this board has to say about his life choices.
For me, nothing matches the Original
"Get To Da CHOPPA!"
Different strokes for different folks ...
I read somewhere that the Kasdans were trying make a spoof/satire/homage to and of the western. Whatever, I still love the film.
