When this was released, my boyfriend at the time and I were huge fans of the Godfather I and II. We were very excited this was coming out. We were both disappointed how it was just not as good as the first two and I remember Sofia being a part of that disappointment. Very flat and blank expressions. When she dies in the end, her acting played a part in how big of a loss it was because we didn't like her character. I don't think we knew at first she was Coppola's daughter.
I'm glad it wasn't Winona Ryder, though. She would have played her usual character it seems she does in all her films. I enjoy her in those movies but it just doesn't fit in The Godfather. I don't think she fit well in Age of Innocence either, Coppola must like her.
Perhaps San Giacomo or Sciorra would have been better.
Madonna, no.
The only reason why the Left are objecting to it is because their media told them to. They are well trained to listen to their "experts", God forbid if they ever look into and think on their own about anything.
So what?
This is obviously a left wing opinion, with a heck of a lot of his own speculation in it.
It is obvious because they think they can make MAGA a dirty word. It is on the left wing side due to the media's hammering it is, but it is very much falsely accused of things it is not. It centers on economic nationalism, which include trade and manufacturing.
He's right in one aspect by my viewing today of the song and video. "Try that in a small town" is a veiled threat. You can't get by with the crap that has gone in in urban areas because there are a lot of good guys that will defend their town and people from crime, destruction, and violence. This is nothing to be ashamed of.
Indeed.
Just watched the video, I was not aware of the song or its controversy the media has created.
The media loves to report on "what could happen", not unlike their claims against the child trafficking film how it "could fuel Q-Anon", lol!
Scrappy Doo
How to Make an American Quilt (1995)
Mermaids (1990)
Look up Yuri Bezmenov on youtube.
I seem to remember all the characters unlikeable, some kind of eclectic international wedding at the end, and the entire movie shot by a shaky cam that made me nauseated.
Nice mouth.
They've been friends with anyone who was "cool" as in a good guy with no issues, black and white. The weirdos, not so much.
High fructose corn syrup. The body does not metabolize it the same as cane sugar. It goes straight to stored fat.
I would imagine or even possible premonition. Sorry to hear the all of them went so young.
I think it's just as divided at least among the youth. My boys have said the "activists" were few in high school, a fairly large school. They form their own opinions along with their friends. They see the economy and inflation as bad and know why. They're tired of hearing "racism" cried out among the news or elsewhere to where it's meaningless, they don't believe it or in "white supremacy". Nobody will be caught dead with a Bud Light, it's got a stigma now as a "gay" beer. And they think the trans escalation is a fad and multiple genders is nonsensical. In my son's software engineering class, there actually was a trans who reverted back to being a girl, my son said nobody wanted her on their team. He reported his team did get stuck with her and she was useless. I'm telling you, the pecking order is still in force.
Now, in better times like when they were in elementary, I would have reinforced to my son to be compassionate and empathetic to the strange kid, but not now. He doesn't go out of his way to mistreat anyone but he will not befriend either.
It's up and running.
My husband and I are going to go and see for ourselves soon. I already heard Tim Ballard speaking elsewhere about how he is flummoxed that the Left is going berserk over this movie and accusing him of Q Anon mixed in it which it absolutely does not! So in trying to google this, I read, they are "worried" that this movie will stir up the people that follow Q Anon. What an excuse to shove this topic under the rug! I don't know if it's because someone on the right is bringing it to prominence before someone on the Left did or what. Then I read here someone say that some people involved were "accused". Well, anyone can throw out an accusation, and the Left-wing media can amplify that accusation to discredit. Then I saw how there was one sentence that poster left out of the report stating that the accusation is unsubstantiated. This was misleading. All smoke and mirrors to whip the Leftists into a frenzy. What gets me is that this sex slavery is happening NOW.
I remember Ashton Kutcher was big on sex trafficking but where was he when President Trump created that task force for it that I believe Biden cancelled? It's hard to believe the same people that can't stop talking about African slavery that ended in the 1800's by my ancestors can't be more mindful about the slavery happening today. And not just trafficked into our country over here but all over the world. I question their sincerity.
The best fun we got from the movie was the it became a running joke for a while between my husband, brother, and friends we went with to see it.
The thing is, I don't know if these guys who write this stuff are actually effeminate in manner and have a variety of interests. What about male script writers of romantic movies? What about song writers and musicians, practically every song is a love song? Groupies would beg to differ on what's masculine.
I like watching it on one of the Roku channels when it is on, but the last time I had to skip over the accident and transplant part, it can really hit me in the gut, so I might not be up to going through that. David Duchovny does a very realistic job playing his grief, can definitely empathize. I think Bonnie Hunt was excellent in directing those scenes, with all the characters, even some laughter while the family is waiting during the transplant, as well as her grandfather doing what many families would do, praying, and even the choice of music fit very well. It's just such a great movie, the four older gentlemen are a hoot with a touch of nostalgia. Jim Belushi and Bonnie Hunt's marriage was very funny and realistic at the same time. Really, Bonnie Hunt just did a great job all the way around directing this movie and a great script. I wish she would have done another movie.
Yes, and also the dinosaurs and wooly mammoth extinction.
Didn't he cheat on her with a woman?
There's plenty of men who have written romantic novels. Doctor Zhivago comes to mind, and the main character was a poet.
I totally agree, wasn't he trying to meet her and discovered them and was shocked? I couldn't believe how she turned her cheating around on him and the way the series presented it, it almost seemed like they wanted us to take her side. I don't think so.
