I don't agree with your generalization, but your reply is at least a lot less weird than what OP wrote. You may be summarizing something similar but dude... Look at this:
The Great Replacement will not leave anything created by the Historic American Nation untouched. That includes Captain America, the quintessential Historic American.
Someone wrote this out, and was like yeah. Good thesis statement. I appreciate moviechat for providing a relatively safer space for conservative thoughts and opinions...but wow...we got some really weird people saying some really weird stuff coming out of the woodwork. This. I was saying this for years, and I actually grew up alongside the series. Full disclosure: I loved the books and couldn't put them down. But I couldn't stand that the books were being made out to be examples of good writing. There was so much fiction out there, for the same target age group, that were far better written. I think the most frustrating moment was when I realized that some school classes were teaching sorcerer's stone, and there was even a cliffnotes version available at the bookstore. Incorrect. Definitely agree with this. Thought it was weird the first time I found the moviechat boards...but god, at least their links/articles are fodder for functional discussion. Sarah Connor and Kyle Reece are supposed to be around 17-20 in this film, and yes, both actors look much older than the role intended.
The whole misunderstood satire narrative card
lol all because it flew past you, doesn't mean it's hivemind shit. I didn't even realize that some ppl didn't know the whole movie was a satire. lol and like I said, I'm not surprised ppl will find it random. I find that I don't get along very much with mainstream sentiments on these films. The list is based on a mix of both subjective preference, and what I ascertain to be objective quality. I don't think there's a thematic pattern to be found; I certainly didn't try to give it one when I wrote out the list. The only thing this list show is....is how I much I liked these films and rank them. I have no desire to go into any large detail but I can share a few thoughts. Not looking to argue or defend any of these views. Just making it clear that I didn't make this list randomly. This is how I feel about these movies. Spiderman Homecoming - I think the film is extremely boring. I also do not like the MCU depiction of the Peter Parker character. Ragnarok - Very inconsistent pacing/progression. I don't appreciate the tonal shift from the previous films. Horrible final act (in terms of an action film). Misguided approach to the ragnarok arc. The Incredible Hulk - well, I seem to agree with most people here, which is why it's at the bottom of the list. The First Avenger/Infinity War/Shang Chi - I consider adherence to comicbook lore as a minor factor, but it's not at all a crucial factor for me in evaluating a film. Ant Man and the Wasp - I think the story is more interesting, villains more interesting, action sequences are cooler, jokers are funnier, and overall I find the pacing much improved. OP sounds as insane as the woke crowd. For anyone who hasn't watched this movie....the flight attendant scene was just like the Meet The Parents scene with Ben Stiller. It's just making fun of airport crew following their canned, flowchart responses. I'm not even sure if the flight attendant was white; I barely remember how she looked like. OP didn't pay attention to the movie. He didn't try to fight his sister. The movie explicitly shows him pulling his punches during their "match". In fact, it's implied throughout the movie that he is a superior fighter to her. Ostensibly, he looks like a better fighter than her if you look at his feats compared to hers. He didn't even fight his aunt. His aunt was teaching him the wind magic shit that he wanted to know. Yeah, he struggled against, but that's cause it's new to him. And given that the wind magic shit outclasses the ten rings (which he himself uses to beat his father later), it's not surprising that he wouldn't do well that fight. There's no indication at all that his aunt is stronger than him. In all likelihood, she probably isn't given their feats. Yeah, I figured. I never seem to get along with people when discussing MCU films. Everyone already seems to have these preconceived agreements. I haven't seen all the marvel shit. But this is my personal tier list: 1. Infinity War 2. Captain America: The First Avenger 3. Black Panther 4. Avengers 1 5. Shang Chi 6. Endgame 7. Antman and the Wasp 8. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 9. Antman 10. The Winter Soldier 11. Guardians of the Galaxy 1 12. Civil War 13. Age of Ultron 14. Iron Man 2 15. Captain Marvel 16. Doctor Strange 17. Thor 18. The Incredible Hulk 19. Thor Ragnarok 20. Spiderman Homecoming lol what is wrong with everyone in this thread. edit: oh, no one here actually read the books. either of them. I don't share his views on the vaccine. I'm pro vax. But you've demonstrated that you have no idea how to defend the vaccine. Having people like you on my side of the debate does the vaccine a disservice because you don't know what you're saying, and you're coming off ignorant as hell. His original, basic point about the "usual process" is true. It doesn't change my views, and I have my own thoughts in response. But you're just a superficial arguer. Hell, I don't even know why you're responding to me. I didn't reply to you. You didn't get a notification. Your patience in spelling that out repeatedly to someone is astounding. Yeah but this film is usually regarded as a "truer" adaptation, which is, as everyone can see, just bullshit advertising that continues to persist in discussions and retroactive references these films. I had to reread the whole thread a few times to make sure I was following correctly. XD
You didn't know The Rock (AKA Dayne Johnson) was Hispanic?
*immediately follows up with explanation about why the character is Hispanic* l was waiting to read proof the Rock was hispanic, cause I was like shit, maybe I was mistaken. lmfao Dude, you made a mistake, doubled down on thee mistake, and then when you finally realize your error, you act like a jerk. Don't be weird about it. But life in China is so great! kek I just didn't find it intriguing or thought provoking.
