Yeah, I also found that this issue was ignored. Alan was well fed by Sam, so surely at the very least he would be needing to defecate at least once every other day. And where did he urinate? Did he pee in the corner like a cat....??
The TV show Spartacus had to recast their lead role when the actor who played Spartacus tragically passed away. I remember thinking it was jarring and had to find out why, but the replacement did a good job and after a couple of episodes the switch was pretty much forgotten.

Certain aspects of it, yes. It was a pretty wild time in my life full of intense highs and lows. I get a funny sense of melancholy when I look back at that time in my life.
