Why sueing? He was beloved world wide, so every brand would give him at least in the first years anything just by advertising that he is using their service IN THE REAL world. So at least the flight to Fiji would be paid off. He would be likely already having a perfect live with just getting all the merchandise money he earns in the last years. But it might fail, as so many sequels. Why would someone, growning up in a controlled and nearly perfect world become a rapist? Why people become rapists? First of all, they need to know, that you can surpress people, can threat them - Truman never came into any of this situations and it's unlikely they let him watch non-family movies. So he does not know, you can do bad things on purpose to people and he also does not need to, because he is not actively surpressed (at least until he has his in-movie breakdown). Even if he would have a strong sex drive, it would not need to end in rape for him - as the producer would feed him with enough actresses willing to get famous by bang on TV (of course this wouldn't be shown on main channel, but on Paytv). Of course, we can argue about People born bad, which I don't believe, but that power corrupts. So if he would have come out as "The Omen" kid, they could have stopped the show early on, before he does real crimes. Don't forget, they know everything he did, so every of his steps are tracked. It would never come to a rape situation, because rape is not be doable in affect, to much ample time to get even any actor into his house. An in affect murder or serious damage on the other side would be possible, but even here should be enough ample time to react in most cases. Ben Kingsley was anyway about to kill everyone, he would have shot 99% if he had got what he want - he was a professional. So the taser chance of 50/50 is better as 99%. Also it's more likely a professional NOT trigger accidently a shot, as he is used to weapons. The taser would be only risky in a situation where you are quite sure the person does not want to shoot like a desperate junkie or someone pressed into this situation. Yes, NTSC/PAL resolution with crappy quality, so you might believe clouds are sky scraper. Just watched it in HD and really needed a lot of imagination which scene they were talking about. Ahh, the good old SD times. :D But he is right, the world is fucked up and as the current state is more or less self sustainable (as in you can live), so no reason to really live in this world, if you can escape. The people left the world on their own decision and I can really imagine that most of them just gave up. It's much nicer to live your life in a fantasy escape of your choice where you can be something. No, this is imo very realistic. Depends how you define serial killer, but if you would include common white supremacist characteristics into the mix, this might change quite drastically. The 1994 movie budget was estimated 1 million, nowadays a bargin, back then still okish low budget. Just for comparison: Batman Returns budget was 80 Million USD and this was a tent-pole movie for Warner back then. The contracts with Marvel said, that a production with the hero universe had to be in some kind of active and credible production every x years, I think it was 10. Fantastic Four was owned by the german movie company Constantin Film. They are not as tricky and professional as american movie companies and so they prefered to give Roger Corman a super low budget and make an actual movie instead of having something in development hell and risk losing the license. This guaranteed them then the 2005 and 2007 movie and a nice paycheck for selling the rights to 20th Century Fox eventually. So for them it was definitely worth it. Similar situation was for e.g. Daredevil. Elekra was released 2005, so they needed to start producing in 2015. But this franchise was such a stinker for them (personally still partly shell shocked by Elekra) that they prefer to give the rights back to Marvel, who then sold the 5y license to Netflix. Btw: Fantastic Four 2005 and 2007 earned together world wide 600 million USD, nearly 300 million USD domestic. With a budget of together roughly 200 million USD, these movies might be considered not good (imo still good guilty pleasures), but they definitely earned enough. 2015 was a loss, but at least not a total one. Batgirl with similar projections, but a less attractive title hero would be a bigger catastrophe. When you jump and get abruptly stopped, your neck is bracking. That's why you usually have the rope only around your neck and gets dumped from a lifted place. At least in a "nice execution". That's why it is also important that the executor has to check this. If the poor soul bounce back on the bottom or get hanged on a tree (with getting lifted), this can be a really ugly, long process. Another reason why this method was/is so popular in hate crimes. Oh, if you don't know the books, he will. Much more actually, as he will be an integral part of the finale (if Dune does not become a trilogy). But they have to change his fate, I guess. Opportunist? Absolutly, but he was not a nazi empath, no proof. All of it just comes from real bad timing during his promo for Snow White. He planned to sell Snow White to Germany, he even initiate a german dub. For selling it to Germany, he invited Leni Riefenstahl to his studio, a quite powerful german director. Unfortunately, this happened all around November 9 1938, the night, the Nazis started their open attacks against Jews. All other studios dropped Riefenstahl directly, but Disney really was in need of the dirty German money (the studio was until the 50s always at the brink of collapse). So he still showed Riefenstahl his studio, the movie etc. Because of this the rumors came up, but there is nothing which would proof it. Also other allegations couldnt be proven to be true as I am aware. Except that he was a child of his time, so was it totally normal to say the N-word without meaning it with bad intentions. Could he be better? Sure, but nobody is perfect. There were some movie rules active in the movie. It might even justifible via the special relativity. So the whole body is moving all the time in the same time bubble and won't change until completly pass over. In the end, it's a movie and definitely one of the lesser problems. The ropes break of age, at this part of the cave more likely several days/months/years passed. Another theory more fitting to the overall rules: The ropes were untouched as they were in the same time bubble, but not the part they were attached to. So by going up the rope, they basically moved the rope that fast that they get cut through by friction. Neanderthals never ever lived in the Americas. The first humans came over around 20,000 BC, but they were homo sapiens like we two. Around that time also the human started to start cultivating plants on purpose, but as it was fairly new, its more likely that normal hunter first came to america. It is not a mistake, but as you pointed out yourself. When Taylor finds Hopper, he informs him that time in the cave moves differently and you can also see it in that scene very well. There are still alive Conquistadore fighting with Natives and in the same time frame is Hoppers sister as kid and a man hunting her. Earlier you see Hopper also following the cowboy into the cave, the cowboy walks in ulta slow mo (but visible) for him until he follow him into the time trap. He then exit and it seem like a few years passed. Same seems to be with the gang, Furby communicate with them, but if they had been already in the same time trap as him, he had been long time dead as in that part years are passing by in a few seconds. They also find Hoppers Mom, just died, if she had been in the same time trap, this had been just seconds - even with the cavemen way too less time to die. tldr: The walkie talkie was so strange because of the time distortion. Like with the slo mo cowboy to Hopper. Josh Trank did the maximum possible to get kicked out of his own project and Warner was just massively disappointed by Snyders Performance and were most happy to get him out of the contract. But yes, this was then really bad decision after another. For god's sake, this movie is set on Halloween, how a studio can show a director more the finger to a director? The heck, he definitely should get one! Any recent movie he is in, his scenes are like a black hole of entertainment. I hate all scenes he is in it. If this is intentious, that he is in really every role supposed to be hated by the audience, ok, best casting ever. But it should be then time to show his talend by playing a role you really like. If you show me a movie like this, I believe you, he is a super actor, otherwise I am truly convinced he is just bad.
